It’s not even the physical part that’s bad every user had gone through it a million times the worst is the mental part right when the physical part is over that lasts for weeks after where u get no pleasure from anything, nothing feels like it will ever feel fun, your restless, can’t sleep or u do sleep but it feels like u didn’t, then u tell urself if I do a little I can get past today then tomorrow and then it’s the weekend so can just chill at home not do anything but u start all over again u probably even told urself u will have control over it now but it’s all bull shit. Getting sober is like getting into a cold pool u can’t dip ur toes in u need to just jump it and get it over with. Don’t tell urself ur never gonna do it again just focus on today ur not gonna do it today and tell urself the same every morning. When u were a kid u didn’t need anything u were pure get back to that. Many people get addicted because they got an injury, many don’t have additive personalities and we’re responsible for a long time then one day it changed and their mind over powered and started taking more then prescribed. Any one gets prescribed them u should talk to ur doctor about a different option, just because u get them legally doesn’t mean it’s a good idea

I’m currently in treatment after a 10 year bender on the big H! I started with a lovely false diagnosis of degenerative disk. I ended with a horrible pain so nauseating but my lower spine was crumbling at what I was told was an alarming rate. I was fed pain pills I think all of them lol I was prescribed OC 5’s and finally 40’s Ii was told to take 2 in the am and 2 in the pm while I was gave hydrocodone 10’s to take to keep me as comfortable as possible. I really felt like a guinea pig with more X-ray and MRI’s than I thought possible. Oh and the bag ultrasounds were very intrusive to say the least. So when my husband lost his job therefore losing our health insurance I well we were panicked! I had a trial surgery that took us and the orthopedic surgeon 2 months to get approval for and having to cancel that brought us to tears!!! You might not believe this. But those same doctors who were so kind and said don’t worry we’re going to do everything we can to help get rid of most of the pain I had to suffer from daily, all of a sudden wouldnt look me in the face after that sweet sweet insurance money stopped so did the shits she gave about me and my pain. At first I was able to buy some of the pills I was prescribed. But that got too expensive very fast! So that’s when I had to go to the H. While I appreciate your own “experience,” if indeed you did have one? But let me ask… On behalf of everyone who has ever gone through withdraws. Tell me please, was the constant and violent vomiting or was it the never ending runs that were so constant I had to for days and days sleep on the bathroom floor and also make what would I rather clean up decisions. If you know what I mean? I’m wondering which one of those were in my head? Or maybe it was the invisible knives that feel like they’re stabbing my legs?

She tried to take her own life as she states but no real proof... That being said my house was a wreck vomit everywhere I got there before CPS could and cleaned up took care of my son and they still ripped them from my arms and said I couldn't be a father to my son even though I was using and still had a job still had a house my son had food clothing shoes my son had more from me then I had myself 😂😅 but wasnt enough after they took my boy and forced me to attend these classses and drug test and court hearings ect I couldnt keep my job happy so lost the job then my total income thdn everything came undone now im in a weekly and cant stop using in fear of being completely homeless. I been applying for jobs good jobs and good living and was just informed it was all for nothing because no matter what in order for me to get my son back I need to attend a minimum of 90days in as a inpatient in a rehab. So the job search, the classes the meetings all for nothing. I wish I knew when they first took my son that I needed to complete the 90days before getting a job and what not

Cannabis. Part of the sick feeling from withdrawal is caused by cAMP and cannabis regulates it during withdrawal and brings it back to baseline. Opiates inhibit cAMP and once you stopped it comes back with vengeance and causes an influx of norepinephrine.. cannabis modulates cAMP

People do opiates and other narcotics to escape...the truth is quitting cold turkey is the BEST way. Don't run afraid of your impending withdrawls, give yourself up, turn yourself in! Serve your time, QUIT RUNNING. Yes its going to suck and your own body will try to break your will but its there where you find just how mentally strong you are.

Cold turkey is best for someone that hasn’t been on opioids long and has been on lower doses like prescription painkillers. For those that are doing heavy amounts and shooting dope/street fentanyl, cold turkey will end in a relapse 99 out of 100 times. And since your tolerance went down during withdrawals those relapses are often fatal because an addict will think the usual dose will be fine. Street fentanyl changed everything, especially with the tranq garbage that’s mixed in the supply in almost every single state in America right now. It makes Narcan ineffective, and the withdrawal is even more brutal than fentanyl alone. On top of everything that animal tranquilizer makes your flesh rot from the inside, eventually requiring amputations. I would’ve been dead if it wasn’t for Suboxone. Even with Suboxone I was still in hardcore withdrawal for the first 2 weeks. That’s how insanely potent street fentanyl is and how high it propels your tolerance. Before street fentanyl, addicts could safely take Suboxone 24-36 hours after last use of Oxy/Heroin and they’d be fine. But now with these fentanyl analogues you can easily go into a far worse precipitated withdrawal even after 5-6 days of not using. I got nothing against people going cold turkey, but seasoned addicts statistically have a far better chance at staying in recovery with the help of medications like Buprenorphine (Suboxone). It’s like a safety net. Besides not having to deal with lingering post-acute withdrawals that can last months, Suboxone can literally save your life in the event you DO slip up and relapse, because it will block most if not all of the potentially lethal dose. The addiction crisis we are experiencing due to street fentanyl is unprecedented. Doctors need to rethink how they treat Opiate Use Disorder because standard protocols go out the window when you’re dealing with a patient who’s been doing tranq-laced street fentanyl. I make the distinction because street fentanyl and pharmaceutical fentanyl you’d find in a hospital are not the same thing. Street fentanyl is cooked up in Mexican labs using precursor chemicals from China. That’s how we have dozens of different street fentanyl analogues flooding our streets, each analogue with unpredictable results and potency.

Best way to do it is take little pieces for 3 or days skip a few days until you start feeling the symptoms coming back. And only take baby pieces when you feel the symptoms. I was on methodone for 17 years for chronic pain went to my pain management doctor got sick of the high copays and the amount of years being on it on got 20 mg. What worked for me was to slowly taper myself down it took me 6 months to do it very slowly once I got to 2.5mg I stayed there for 6 weeks then I quit I only had mild symptoms insomnia which I had Rx. of gabapentin 300 mg one a day which I started on day 3 and I on for 7 days and I took ibuprofen 2 times a day one in the morning in once at bedtime after day 10 I stop the gabapentin and only take melatonin at night and have completely stopped taking ibuprofen also on day 10 the only other issue I’ve had is I still get chills and one day 12 and I so good also make sure to drink lots of water but honestly I think if you want to be off it good you need to know what it feels like so you remember how horrible it is and never take it again I think that if it’s easy and people are more likely to go back to taking some thing that it is when it’s horrible just my opinion I don’t have an addictive personality. I strictly took it for Pain Management. My pain management doctor wanted to put me on Suboxone and I said absolutely not. I didn’t want to give up one medication to be dependent on something else for more years of my life hope this helps someone. One thing I’ve noticed never looked plenty of videos on KZbin. There’s not a lot of people that talk about getting off of this medication that were prescribed it for pain management only would be nice to see more videos like that because the sigma of this medication makes people like me not want to speak on it but I felted compelled to do so.

Your brain makes its own versions of opioids naturally, called endogenous opioids. These chemicals act just like opioid drugs, attaching to opioid receptors in your brain. A person that gets off of abusing opiates will lack in natural opiate production and basically feel depressed leading them back on the never ending cycle. That's where Suboxone comes in and basically gives you back the opiates you are lacking to feel normal again. It's basically the same thing as a long time steroid abuser getting TRT because their natural Testosterone production is screwed up. Suboxone basically just makes you feel normal again since your brain can't produce the same amount of natural endorphins

Suboxone is a partially an Opioid and it keeps you in the cycle of addiction I was on that shit for 3 years I said bump that I'm tired of not being able to leave my city without having a strip. So I went cold turkey and I'm 2 months in no strips straight natural. Does it suck yes. I haven't got my sleep back yet, I worked everyday thru my withdrawal and I'm still standing... After month one your love for music starts to kick back in, you can go to the bathroom normally and your sleep patterns start to change in month two to three. Remember pain is our process and everyday you yawn , sweat, have night chills and stretch bones thru skin like wolverine 😅 your getting ur life back stay in the fight you can do it. Don't take Suboxone.... How bad do you really wanna live clean.... Take ginger and lemongrass teas, hibiscus, and exercise. I promise u gonna make it. Remember how it feels to not be able to shit for weeks, insomnia , poor sleep patterns, twitching and nodding off . Suboxone does all that shit to you while killing you too.

If you still need help it sounds dumb but my first time I kicked the blue devils was unbearable and hell. But wasn't impossible. The first few days I cried. Crying helps but drink lots of fluids. U need to eat IDC how sick u feel I gotta eat I did oatmeal, bananas, toast easy to handle foods then went to bigger meals. Music helped singing along with your favorite type of music does kinda pas the time and get u through some of the pains and anxiety. After the vomiting and diarrhea comes to a stop or slowdown start light exercise practice deep breathing. Don't take over the counter stuff made me worse especially Benadryl 😢 don't do it trust me. I didn't get a wink of sleep for 5days straight but the Benadryl would just make it so much worse because I would feel soooo tired but the legs will kick and u will never enter that dreamy sleep its just u closing your eyes for hours fighting the Benadryl. So best advice act as normal as possible eat stay hydrated and have confidence. Sounds dumb but it works. I did the fake it till I make it and it worked the first time I was clean for almost 2years then something happened and now I'm. On them worse and they are a hell of a lot cheaper then when I started. But getting off soon please keep me updated on your sober life or not sober life

I was doing my thing with the percs and lean I had so much I didn’t even know I was taking them like that 🤦🏿‍♂️ idk one day I didn’t take any and man that was the worst experience in my life cold sweats threw up the entire day til it was nothing else to throw up had to go to the er and all my mother kept saying is “ what did you take” but I was too ashamed to her because I’m not no addict I was just having fun but I was and that’s the trick these things play on the mind

Gotta be careful if u getting them on the streets I've never personally went through withdrawals from Norco, percs or oxys but when I thought these blue pills were oxy 30 that's when I first experience a real evil withdrawal that people keep telling others about. And that was because it wasn't oxy it was a counterfeit oxys made with fentanyl and God knows what else. Quit after 6months of using now almost 2years later in back on them worse then ever 😫 from 5-10 a day to now doing 15-60 a day depending how my money is. Please don't get from the streets

Suboxone is an opioid tho just doesn't get you high. I agree tho its very helpful for treating opioid withdrawl. At least alot more helpful than just powering thru it. Which is basically impossible. I was addicted too fentanyl for 2 years used a ton everyday and i am now clean and genuinely there was no way i couldve done it without my suboxone.

What if I’m only taking 30mg a day is it stupid for me to want Suboxone or help getting off? Like idk the side effects of suboxone or anything I’m scared but I know I can’t get off by myself and they’re readily available to me for free (not from doctor) but I only can get 30mg a day. Been taking them for like 2 years and not for pain, just depression I guess. They make me haopy

Buprenorphine is definitely an opioid but it’s hundreds of times safer than methadone. Methadone and suboxone can still get someone really high if they don’t have a opioid tolerance

If you are talking about the blue M's those are not percs and they are not oxies trust me that's how I ended up on fentanyl. Never knew what fetty was until I got tricked into taking them blues. Even if they aren't cheap I thought to myself these gotta be real if my coworker is selling them for almost the same price as my other guy guys $10 cheaper. Nooooo! These are the cheapest most life destroying garbage u can ever put in your body. Do not be fooled get tested for fentanyl. Also do a quick search of what fentanyl looks like I was so stupid for not checking. U can get 100 of them for only $100 and I was paying $15 each or don't matter how much u pay they will always be cut differently and ruin your life the same damn way. Just 100x worse when u actually know what they are and what the street value is

Can anybody give me advice. I’ve been smoking straight fentanyl or also called “fetti” in northern ca for about 2 years now. Started off the fake blue m box Percocets “blues”. But now I’m smoking straight fetti. I want to get clean. I don’t know where to start I see all these different avenues of doing rehab with suboxone and then eventually getting off the suboxone. Or doing methadone maintenance and getting stable on methadone but then it’s a whole other fight of getting off the methadone. It’s just so irritating it feels like the promising avenues like going cold turkey and kicking it and muscling through it for weeks with whatever I can do at home and eventually feeling better, but that’s the hardest most excruciating way to kick this shit. Idk I just need some direction

You can do it shockey it's hard it's miserable it's unbearable it's annoying AF it's stressful AF but it's not impossible. Don't give up if you can't stop using them build that strength up build your health up while u use make your body a freaking machine! Take your vitamins eat healthy sleep better drink lots of fluids and then when your body is physically strong enough your mind and heart may just fall in line. I'm not encouraging you to use but if you are. Then at least reek the benefits of eating and being normal while using so u can build a healthier stronger body before giving up entirely

The best advice is from the ones that have experienced withdrawal. No amount of school can bring a true understanding. If it was up to medical "professionals" to help, theyd only prescribe more poisons.
