What Are Symmetrical Scales And How To Use Them?

A symmetrical scale is a scale that has a pattern that repeats continuously. One example of a symmetrical scale is the chromatic scale in which all intervals are half steps. You can use the symmetrical scales to add tension and movement to your playing.
In order to use these scales is useful to think like a drummer. A drummer will usually play some kind of fill before a strong beat. On the guitar, we can introduce symmetrical scales to give a sense of direction towards a strong beat.
The two diminished scales (whole/half step or half/whole step) and the whole tone scale are symmetrical scales as well.
All these scales can be applied in the same fashion using the "drummer technique".

A bit OCD but looks like you need to adjust the neck alignment on that guitar, just loosen screws a little and push on it, hold and re-tighten
