Dear Sister Jiawen, if i am driving a car every day to go to work, can i chant Namo Amitabha Buddha? If I am focussing on my hands on the steering wheel, should i need to be mindful of chanting Namo Amitabha Buddha at the same time? Will I generate merits from it? Thank you🙏🏻

Yes I can chant as long as it won’t distract your attention. U can just chant like singing a song and don’t need to focus on the name too much but focus on the road, it can be done and yes there will be merit. Amituofo

Just to comment , for reciting mantra, it can't be done when doing certain things like when a person at restroom, when body being unclean, etc ..correct me if I'm wrong
