As an Arab, Tunisian is my favourite Arabic dialect 🤍

I'm from the Arabian Peninsula, it was very interesting to me listening to the Tunisian dialect. I think it's so cute and fun to hear. Although it's very different but it's much easier to understand in comparison to other north african dialects. I think mainly because they use a lot of standard arabic terms and they don't speak too fast.

Algerian dialect is very close to the Tunisian one.

Maltese (dialect) maybe, (ironically,) easier for you to understand because despite the Italian pollution in it. It maybe easier than French pollution also prevalent in Tunisian dialect. Italian is more phonetic than the French and as you know English this will also help understand the "foreign" parts of Maltese.

It s true that Tunisian dialect is a mixture of many several languages such as french, italian ,spanish, turkish and amazigh ( local ancient language) … but somehow it’s actually very similar to standard arabic, in fact if we don’t put in consideration middle eastern dialects and compare the Tunisian arabic with just the standard arabic we would find so many similarities specially in the pronunciation part ❤

The basis of the Tunisian language is Carthaginian, but some add only some French words to it, and there are no other foreign words in the Tunisian language.

@nadine.2

If your comming in winter i recommend the northern west side (Aïn drahem , dbarka , testour ) and if your comming in the summer it’s better to vist a coastal city (such as hamamet, jerba ,zarzis ) of if you are a saharah lover you should visit tozeur and douz
