I think the reason that European capitals did well is the list starts in Europe, so most people would fill those in. I started at the back (in Africa) and worked my way up, but ran out of time before I could fill in half of the European capitals. The results are influenced by the ordering of the choices and the time limit.

I don't know anyone who's gone to Myanmar but I used to work with a lot of people who were refugees from there. They were some great people, the things that they've been through will destroy or strengthen you. Wonderful people, excellent workers, nice, caring people-which takes a tremendously strong character to persevere through those circumstances. I used to work with a lot of refugees from there, Rwanda, Sudan, Bosnia, Serbia, the Congo and it's just a fact that, on average, refugees and immigrants care more than the average American about making this a genuinely better place.

I am from Burma/Myanmar. The capital used to be Yangon, but the military government built and planned the city in the middle of the country, now known as Naypyidaw. Of course it’s a ghost town especially now that the country is in civil war.

I did pitifully on this quiz to no one's surprise. I haven't paid attention to capitals in a long time, so getting 46 is about what I could expect. My "least gotten capitals" that I actually got are amusingly the DRC, Congo, and Guinea-Bissau...all three countries being ones that have or had their capitals in their names. There's probably a youth bias too if people don't remember Congo-Brazzaville and Congo-Kinshasa (Or maybe I am the "young" one since I didn't remember Leopoldville...)

I agree. Even if you zoom on the map, you won’t find Tarawa as it’s not on the “main island”. Other capitals are pretty easy to find on the map as they are usually one of the biggest cities, but not Tarawa.
