I have a 2020 Stinger GT 3.3 TT.KIA has really upped their game.I rent cars on business trips and have driven almost every sedan and the stinger matches the quality of base level AUDIS in interior and the quality of the car as a whole is on par with Honda.Just turned one year old and not a squeak--rattle or problem--and i even took it to the local drag night and went 3-0. If I have no real problems I will probably get the updated stinger in 2025.Only bad thing right now is gas has more then doubled--but I own the car and drive it in comfort most of the time getting 23 or so in a mix of driving. One last thing--I have AWD and the AWD is as capable as those on 100k cars like AMG and M cars--1 inch of rain on the road after the remanants of a hurricane--no problem--able to go the speed limit even in massive downpour--then able to also goto the track and rip 12.7 quarter miles--tying and beating American V8 muscle cars.

Good luck on getting these everyone. I just tried today for an SEL trim MSRP just over 24k. They dealer wanted 31k out the door! They went as low as 29k, but they were tacking on the typical BS nitro tires, etching, GPS tracking, etc to bloat the price. I told them a got an offer on the new Mazda CX-30 Select with comparable MSRP for 27k out the door, which has a better engine, WAY better steering, and better interior. I said meet that and I'll bite because I like the Kona better. The Hyundai dealer wouldn't even counteroffer because they know with the car shortage, there are more suckers/desperate buyers willing to pay 3-5k over MSRP before taxes and fees than there are new cars on the market.

I like the fresh design, however the dead button, clunky steering wheel and not having the switching lane cameras is seriously tanking it. I know it’s a budget compact suv, but I’m not gonna buy this when I can buy something else. To the naked untrained eye this car is perfect and still is in some ways. Of somebody gifted me one I’d obviously be over the moon, but for me to shell out 30k idk. It’s not giving what it needs to give. I love their new sonata and Elantra and ioniq5 so they’re headed in the right direction with the new batch of refreshes. Hyundai is definitely a brand I’d consider for my next car. Their sister brand genesis is gorgeous too, that new gv70 is absolutely divine I hope they release a EV.

Why are people even debating the tablet-style screen? It makes a lot of sense; it allows the screen to be higher up without obstructing too much of your view so you're not looking down as you're using the screen. It used to be that the screen was BELOW the air vents in older cars and many accidents have happened because of that.

I actually did end up going woth the seltos S trim. I tried the kona first, i loved how it drove, but it was a bit tight in the back going from a cherokee Laredo. What took me to the seltos was the extra room, if you look at the specs the seltos is actually bigger. The only thing it didn't have was the blind spot sensor and a sunglasses drop down holder. But for one level up from the base, had back seat air vents, and heated seats with upgraded fabric/leather. Im surprised the kona limited does not even have a back seat air vent. Nice vehicle but i think the seltos beats it out slightly.

Was not impressed with the new Kona. They absolutely gutted the SEL standard options then sold them back to you with their “convenience” package. The only convenient thing is they ripping you off with that trim package. For people who don’t know, they go rid of the heated seats and leather steering wheel. Then they paired it with a sun roof and electric key and sold it back to you for $1,700. Suckers.

The main let downs in this even for 2022 top trim subcompact crossovers are the absence of dual zone temp controls, panoramic sunroof (must for crossovers) as traditional sunroofs doesn't cut it for these kinds of cars. Another thing I would like to see in these kinds of vehicles is the centre pass through much like the VW Tiguan or the upcoming Taos.

This is a really good looking little crossover. If I were to purchase this, I would opt for the Kona N with the 280 HP four-cylinder and DCT transmission. The front end is really well designed and cohesive, however I wish they that kept the fog lights in the lower portion of the grille for some more light output if needed. It would also be pretty nice if the front turn signals were sequential to give it an even more premium look. Additionally, I agree with you that the rear wiper could have been integrated better. I don't think it would be that hard to move it up there. My only gripe is the lower rear turn signals and reverse light. They look a little goofy and think they should be meshed with the rear tailight. Overall, really nice car.

I have a 19 Kona SE AWD. Now subject to the Piston Ring Recall. Great car other than that.

You zonk the dead button to the right of the shifter but on every 2022 Limited I’ve seen pictures of there is a button there. I think it may be the button to turn on/off the Auto Stop feature.

For a limited trim costing over 30k is a huge zonk at how economy car this looks. Definitely have to give the CX-30 the praise in this category.
