Unfortunately, neither medicine, Botox ( and i have had it done about 4 or 5 times already) have been able to help with my overactive bladder which is a huge disturbance on my quality of life. Any other non drastic suggestions.

I empathize….so for my Interstim not very effective. Bethanichol only helps a tiny bit. Oxybutnyn causes dry mouth but I take it once in a while to deal when bladder pain is severe. The only guaranteed way is to become a pro at catheterization. I have done it quite a few times. But if you are not at home it’s a pain. I am overweight, female, can barely see with mirror. Females be careful because if you go into your Vaginal canal and not your urethra you have to start all over again with a new catheter because your bladder can get infected by bacteria (even normal) bacteria from your vagina. I have tried to get catheters through my insurance. I bought an adjustable mirror and a clamp on light. I have to see the urethra. I’m not doing this via braille so…very frustrating.
