Another KISS Army member here since 1974, saw them many times! I always did and still do have a crush on the lead singer here, Paul Stanley, and was honored to get to meet him, sweet man. Now, bassist Gene Simmons is a whole other story, and I am laughing as I say that. When watching you react to him licking his bass, my only thought was man, you have NO clue where all his tongue has been. It has been around the block a thousand times, seriously. It could write a book on it's own stories and journeys.

Saw KISS twice in the 70’s - Fabulous Forum with Cheap Trick & Peter Frampton opening for them. Then at the Anaheim Stadium with Ted Nugent & Bob Seger opening for them. Fantastic show!! Don’t ask me how I went from the Osmonds to blood spewing fire breathing demons!! The Demon (Gene Simmons) Star Child (Paul Stanley) Space Ace (Ace Frehley) The Cat (Peter Criss). Ace Frehley’s sister is a friend of mine. She said that Ace is working on another solo album. Check out Ace’s solo song NEW YORK GROOVE. And, one of my favorites by KISS is GOD OF THUNDER (do the live version) and ROCK N ROLL ALL NIGHT & PARTY EVERY DAY.🩸🩸🩸🩸 Paul Stanley also played the Phantom in Canada when PHANTOM OF THE OPERA was on tour there!

They were my very first concert, they were coming to Green Bay and I loved KISS. I drove my parents crazy about going and my 2 brothers and friends were going. They finally said yes, I was 13 and it was the best time ever. I was on everyone’s shoulders, on my brothers friend was 6”11 and when I was on his shoulders, Paul Stanley lead singer did a shout to me and I just went nuts. I was so high up. Speaking of high, first I smelt pot and I think I got high. LOL

Formed in 1973, KISS was one of most popular bands of the 1970s and are still out there winding down their final tour. They kept their faces hidden behind makeup until mid-late 1980s. Their 1996 reunion tour of all 4 of the original members (Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, Peter Criss) grossed $143.7 million. Known for having one of the greatest stage shows in all of rock. One the most successfully bands of all-time. I Was Made for Lovin' You is not a typical KISS song. They were trying to tap into the disco vibe of the 1970s on this song and were surprised it became such a hit. All their other songs are more rock including a couple of great rock ballads (Beth and Hard Luck Woman). Rock n Roll All Night is probably the song they are best known for and is a major rock anthem.

I am going to throw a monkey wrench from left field into this. Some of the requests include Detroit Rock City, which when released as a single had the most unique Kiss song ever, Beth. Drummer Peter Criss did some of the writing, performed all the vocals, and was backed by some of the New York Philharmonic and a piano. None of the other band members were present for this, and they did not want it on the Destroyer album. Because radio stations had this new single, many decided to play the B Side and their listeners started requesting it. It was so popular it was released again as the A Side and a different song on Side B. It remains Kiss's highest billboard charting hit at 7. Another interesting factoid is how this highest and most successful of their songs, has none of their instruments in it, including the percussion. Many years later, the band performed a live unplugged session with no makeup with two acoustic guitars and one acoustic bass with Peter singing.
