Witcher 3 Lore What Are Beserkers? (Werebears). Cursed ones is a class of monster in the witcher that basically means a being with a curse. Werebears or beserkers in the witcher 3 fall under this class. In today's witcher 3 lore I will discuss werebears and their involvement in the witcher 3. They appear in skellige and possess some similarities to werewolves. I will discuss everything we know about werebears in the witcher 3 and how the beserkers fit into the witcher 3.

Interesting, I went there today and there was only normal bears (My steel sword was automatically pulled out). Maybe I killed them previously and normal bears spawned.

I was wondering why Geralt kept puling out his silver sword when attacked by a bear near Kaer Morhen. I had put it down to mutagen pollution from all the dead witcher-initiates

The mushrooms are probably a reference to Amanita Muscaria, the mushroom believed to have created the Berserker state. Also, the cult being forbidden everywhere except for one isle sounds a lot like how Berserkers in history became banned everywhere except for one location as Norse cultures became more civilized.

Berserkers have always made me think of Middle Earth’s Beornings. Children of Beorn, who can appear as a great man/woman or a large bear. Warriors, hunters, guardians of the woods they inhabit. Nonetheless, the Witcher/Hexer’s take on skin changers is an intriguing addition to the gaming/novel mythology.

@@Righteousresponse when you travel to the old signal tower from the Bastion, you encounter a bear that's harder to kill than one of the normal ones, it'll drop berserker hide as loot. Hope this helps

Like the videos witchergeorge, but one thing has interested me about Witchers. I know they were made to fight monsters. But who made them? And what did they stand to gain? If it was just to rid the world of monsters and protect people why weren't they paid by the state? Who exactly created them? Did they take a cut of the bounty? Did the Witchers pay homage to them? Or were they just concerned and nice citizens?

My favourite monsters are the Chorts and Fiends. I think I find them interesting because goats and deer are animals that humans prey upon and we usually view them as harmless, but these are territorial mountains of muscle that can kill and eat entire armies easily. It almost makes me wonder if a goat or deer affected by a disease similar to Lycantrophy can turn them into such creatures. However the fact that sometimes they are bound to and controlled by witches and other entities shows that they've probably been created through magic means. Princess the goat confirmed Chort for witcher 4.

What if we could play as one? And have two forms to play with, boss fights and fights differing based on what we choose. It would be cool to be within the witcher universe and NOT be one of the big named characters, but rather someone simply living who crosses paths with geralt and ends up on an adventure. (They could make a new character, name him/her and have them be this character who could continue via the games. So geralt ending in Witcher 3 at least as playable could be respected.) Imagine fighting side by side with geralt and a monster is giving you fits, you get knocked away and geralt gets pinned. You have two prompts, turn or remain and if you remain you run up and slice the monster with your weapon and proceed that way. OR you transform and rush the enemy and smash into them, getting a small cinematic and quick time events while you continue to fight. Would add tons of replay-ability ontop of what we already get, and it would be cool to not be a witcher but still be someone who gets roped into shenanigans.
