Your chats are entertaining ☺️! I am curious how quiet you are in person, Joel, you’re so animated on KZbin 😊! Aaron, your kindness towards your friends is so sweet 💗. I appreciate both your candidness and centeredness 🩵💙

Someone said about target audience in comment..really great 👍 appreciate that. For me i can say how important it is to find the niche for the podcast. It is not easy. I consider KCB as ex-idols, millenials, Korean-American. They can talk various topics as they said in description "general everyday life" and things about k-entertainment industry come out here and there naturally bcs their work environment and its good. I also appreciate they dont talk so much about gossips and talk more about how to navigate through life, overcome crisis, and better ourselves. They can be funny, serious, silly, awkward, uncertain, nostalgic, and so on.

I had not considered being suspicious of surrogates and how they care for themselves. Aaron has a good point.

While I love this podcast, I think I also figured out why I don’t always look forward to it and watch it right away. I don’t feel like I’m truly the target group for it, in a strange way. It feels a bit like a guys talk podcast, where the main audience would be guys. The target audience is in a bit of a strange place. Guys talk, based in Korea but in English, you are mostly known from kpop. The episodes I’ve probably enjoyed most have been the kpop talk episodes or the ones focusing on friends and personal stories, also guests. If you’re doing exactly what you want to be doing and this is the content you want, then I support you and will continue to tune in when I’m in the mood :) But if you want to grow the channel, then I feel like the identity and target group likely needs to be clearer defined and cover a wider group than now. Since I’m pretty sure your main audience now are women into kpop, some kind of kpop reactions and “insider gossip” topic would probably be the safest content to grow in that group. If you instead continue on the guys talk theme, I’m not sure how well the kpop and Korea theme works. A target group of Asian American guys maybe? It’s not really my area of expertise, but maybe if you have a chat with your American guy friends and do a honest review what they like with your podcast and what does not go down as well in that target group? It will likely take longer to grow in that target group and you’ll likely lose the current women kpop fan audience, but I think you could do it :) And ofc I support you now too, even if I feel like the target group is a bit all over the place!

this podcast lacks a clear identity to be sure and some lessons on narrative, structure, storytelling and podcasting/content creation i think would be helpful to the hosts/creators of it

LONG mini-essay here. Read it or don't. World's on fire anyway: 😅 I just came to the realization listening to this episode that Koreans, even Korean-Americans still have a diffrent definition for "outspoken" than the western world does. It seems to you guys outspoken = argumentative. Saying you want your women to be just outspoken enough you don't have to deal with her boss? I like the podcast and I want to keep liking it, as the topics and opinions of the previous episodes were engaging. Except it's important to know that for women, being outspoken is survival. It's not just this annoying little habit that we do just to fuck with your day. Men register it as nagging but often it's us advocating for respect and consideration. Being "social justice warriors" is actually how far we DO have to take it or we'd still be in the kitchen, trapped as an unpaid chef/nanny/housekeeper/sexworker. We saw how miserable our grammothers were to put up with that shit and that was already after 1st wave feminism happened, but they clearly still didn't burn enough bras to get the lives they wanted. Like how in Korea "feminist" is a bad word because they picture us chopping off all your penises and putting your heads on pikes. But for us it's just about women having the same opportunities available to us w/o judgment of whether we're capable of them based on our sex. Any exaggeration of that where we're imagined as ferrel animals in need of domestication will make you miss the forrest for the trees. The point is not whether we want to burn down the patriarchy. Examine WHY we want to burn it down in the first place, and any notion of "rabid feminazis" should be clarified. Anyway, if y'all just went with the word "argumentative" that would have made more sense, as there's a big difference.

I would be more inclined to have kids if being pregnant and giving birth in the US alone wasn't so expensive. You guys do seem super kind and humble and that's why I support you guys. Thanks for not being entitled. I don't like preachy religious people either 😅 I don't know the lingo that kids use these days either. You guys feel old? You are both 90s babies 😂 I prefer proper English as well I am not cool and too much of a nerd to understand cool people lingo. 😊 I think it's not fair to tell people they can't put their seat back on a plane. I only have flown in the US and i love looking out the window (except the one time where the person in the middle was terrified of heights so I didn't look out the window I'm not an AH) so i dont sleep on flights because i have never taken a long flight before so I never try to recline my seat at all but I don't get upset if others do.

12:23 Damn, this section got spicy, it's great that they talk about these things!♡ Children? Well, as long as it's talked about from the beginning, I think it wouldn't leave room for feeling appreciated enough to feel bad if the relationship ends. Many forget this conversation and make their partner suffer unnecessarily in the marriage. Surrogate mother, it's complicated, I'm personally not in favor of it because surrogate mothers are usually poor women who are used for external benefit, but I saw women who do it from the heart, so it depends a lot on the women involved.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever reclined the seat when flying. Economy is uncomfortable anyways as Joel said so I always just suck it up. And reclining the seat never really made it more comfortable so I never quite bothered to. But then again, the reclining feature is part of the cost of the flight so the person in front certainly has the right to recline however they want, provided that they are not causing serious hurt to the person behind.

I get awkward with preachy religious people. Almost got scammed joining into a cult so I'm all the more suspicious nowadays when people try to make me join their church. I think I'm the same age as Joel, but my long time online friends are younger than me so I've picked up the knowledge on their lingo. Not that I use it. Plus, there are some acronyms that still confuse me.

It's hot where I live. And I agree with Aaron and Joel on the red flags. But I will say that you will never know who you are really hanging out with if you don't at least some times hear people out, because I find people who I might not agree with can be the best friend or partner in life. As long as it's not like what's happening with the who's running for the President of the US. Be truthful with the people you meet , cause it may limit your ability to find the right Person to spend the rest of your life with, I am speaking from experience. The good one got away. But don't pick the gold digger or, some one to loud.

The healthcare system in Korea alone makes me want to move Living in the states with any medical conditions is just unreasonable 😵😭
@FeliciaH-n5h6 ай бұрын
In my opinion I'm not in favor of a surrogate unless there are medical reasons why the woman cannot carry the baby herself. There are some things that can't be experienced if you have a surrogate. Reclining the plane seat back is a difficult topic. For short people it's not a problem but for tall people it can be. Personally everyone paid for their seat and should be able to recline if they chose too but during meal time I think all seats should be upright. My husband is tall so he always wants an isle seat or exit row seat, unless we are in first class. Unfortunately over the years the airlines has shorten the distance between the rows in order to add a few extra rows for revenue.

idk if you guys know this but the gayborhood is a real thing. if you go on google maps it's labelled officially as so. the person filming purposely went into that space and started spewing anti gay bible reteric ex: "god can save your soul". i don't think screaming your head off is the most reasonable sane thing to do, but harassing random people on the street isn't either.

I have a Mustang (from 2022) and I will say this... it's an awesome car to drive straight 😁 On corners... you have to be an experienced driver, you can stand sideways even on an ordinary residential street 😜 And you have to have deaf neighbors. Our neighbor demanded that we park in front because the roar of the engine wakes her up 🤫

@@sirius0110 I don't remember what the euro exchange rate was in my country (or the dollar, they usually have a very similar exchange rate). Anyway, we ordered the car in 2021. Delivery was delayed due to covid and the war in Ukraine. We received the car almost a year after ordering. Moreover, we ordered it from the dealer by... telephone 😉 As a result, "cyber orange" is not exactly orange, but dark yellow 🤦♀ We paid about PLN 260,000 in PLN (Polish zloty).
