Important thing to remember is that each Primarch had at least some of the other aspects, but these ones were the dominant ones. Jaghatai was the most reasonable, but he also showed his emotional humanity and ability for God Level Rage on a number of times. Lion was Emperor's Nobility and Loyalty, but was also a secretive, sneaky and cruel bastard when it was needed. Vulkan was kind and humane, but that didn't stop him from making Eldar BBQ in a fit of rage. He did feel really sorry after that, but that doesn't change much for the crispy Space Elf Kid...

There are aspects to Alpharius (or maybe Omegon) often unexplored that are shown in his Primarch book. There's his power to completely hide is Primarch presence that even the Lion couldn't see through and even things like how he interacts with his Astartes. They are not only allowed to but encouraged to question him much like the Custodes with the Emperor. Unlike many of the other Primarchs, Alpharius sees the value in normal humans and even goes out of his way to save/recruit them when he otherwise didn't have to. My theory is that the twin who can hide his presence and the twin Dorn had an argument with for his arrogance are different. Dorn wouldn't have been able to figure out who Alpharius was if it was the one raised by Malcador The problem here is figuring out which traits go with which twin...
@s0upre8632 жыл бұрын

I don't think Russ is the emperor's fury or his humanity: I think he's the Emperor's determination and desire for freedom. One of the central themes of Russ is he is constanttly riling against his position, as a Primarch and a king, wishing nothing more than to let it all go and just become a simple hunter or friend. But he won't let go, because his amount of will and determination to see the Emperor's ideals through means he is literally unbending. Russ beat Magnus not due to blind fury, but because Magnus was unfocused and full of doubt but Russ's mind and body were literally immutable. Think about it, what WAS the Emperor going to do once Mankind was assured it's future? He would have simply melted away, happy to vanish into the annals of history free from his burden. The Emperor of course ends up being a sacrifice to be the astronomicon thus keeping humanity going despite the taxing and agonizing pain it causes him And as it’s 40k and everything is grimdark and sucky, it seems all the more tragically fitting with what Angron became from what he was created to be

@@majorkill oh yeah, dorn knew his brother's tricks, he actually knows Him better than the others. I feel that the constant bait and switch of Alpharius and Omegon makes it so hard to truly ascertain what is going on. Personally, after reading the Alpharius novel, i think that once he found Omegon and let him take the mantle of Legion Primarch he stayed Omegon most of the time, maybe only really playing that trick on dorn and learning more about him then continuing to watch from the shadows and see what was playing out like malcador and the big e taught him, as his motivation of destroying Chaos doesn't fit the character after that novel, he cares about humanity and the big es plan of a united and prospering human race. Omegon wouldn't of had as good an understanding and would be the one to take that view of destroy chaos by helping horus, hence the alpha legion kind of playing both sides. i think it makes a bit more sense viewing it this way, and kind of helps back the, he is now cypher theory, because Alpharius also liked the Lion more than his other Brothers, he actually revealed (kind of) himself to him before the others during the rangdan campaign whilst trying to find omegon
@davecolwell7252 жыл бұрын
@@joshuaashkar6644 I still think the Alpha legion and Alpharius agreed to join the traitor side so that they could be secretly pushing things this way and that and working against horus from the inside in the Emperor's Favour, afterall they knew that the Kabal had seen two potential futures for humanity and yet the future that comes to pass is the one in which the Kabal was trying to avoid. I actually think that Alpharius was about to tell Dorn that he had deliberately joined the traitors so he could work from the inside against them but before he could properly explain Dorn cut his head off. He was being arrogant about it though and wasn't properly explaining so from Dorn's perspective all the tricks Alpharius used to show Dorn all the holes in the defenses were actual attacks. If he'd only just spoken straight out rather than try and trick and fight Dorn it might have been different. Alpharius was probably trying to get Dorn alone so they could speak in private because he couldn't just contact him over a vox or astropath because the traitors would then know he's been working against them. I've only listened to the audiobook of this scene twice but this was the conclusion I came to after the second listen. I will do a general meta repeat (skipping less important event filled and some of the more boring books especially in the 50 - 80% zone of the story) of the whole series again once the final Siege books come out so it will be interesting to see if I read it that way after next listen since I only came to that realisation at the end of the novel the second time. What alpharius did really help dorn but dorn was to proud to even acknowledge that fact after it was all said and done. Legion was also a great book, but I just think the destroy chaos motive didn't fit because he actually said it. It very well may have been that mankind's continual survival Trump's this xeno scum, we will help the emperor by playing the insurgent being the spy. If alpharius had of found a way to keep the lion or dorn in on one of their specific cyphers not all, things may have played out differently. I'd also say Konrad represents another aspect of the big E - his cruelty and absolute ruthlessness. The Emperor didn't get to be the literal God of humanity by being nice to everyone he met. He had to step over mountains of bodies to do it. Without the ability to be terrifyingly cruel when it was necessary, he never would have been able to unite humanity through conquest. Because leading all of humanity also meant crushing any resistance and forcing everybody to do as he said. Konrad had all these qualities in spades. It was the fact he lacked any other tempering aspects, as well as his visions of the future driving him insane, that led to him becoming a monster.

Wait... Conrad has a foresight more on par with his father, right? More than Sanguineous, who is simply a very good fortune teller. But Conrad's visions were almost always incredibly dark and disturbing, to the point it broke his brain. So... If we assume the Emperor has superior abilities compared to all his primarchs, I conclude two things. A: there is no way the Emperor didn't see the Horus heresy if the inferior Conrad saw it, so that supports the Planned Heresy theory. B: If the Emperor has to see everything Conrad sees and more, then I think we may be able to forgive his majesty for being a bit of a prick.

Dorn had a larger interstellar empire than Papa Smurf? This puts a tear of joy on my face. Keep up the good work major kill.
@Keemperor40K2 жыл бұрын
Never explicitly said. Guilliman had the 500 worlds, that was his personal fiefdom. Dorn also gave the Imperium a small empire, but it's never been explored in any detail, beyond it being more than 1 solar system. Most other Primarchs also had conquered the world they landed in, but few where in Guillimans or Dorns level, when it came to Empire building. The Big question is Alpharius/Omegon, only known Primarch to actively seek the Emperor and meet him, before the Emperor found him, thus the question is if he had an Empire of his own and if so how big.

Massively underrated bit of lore tbh. I know they've left it open for him to come back again but I wouldn't EXTREMELY doubt it since even his first appearance/s were minor footnotes at best rather than the massive threat to the galaxy it should be

Thank you Majorkill!!! I am fairly new to the community, I got into the hobby from the McFarlane Toys and then your channel was like my intro to the lore. Now I have books, a few video games and armies of the McFarlane figures. Your channel is great because it’s funny, informative and even when you purposely do in jokes that mess stuff up, that is just like any other “unreliable narrator” so it’s still lore accurate because the whole lore is fairly unreliable!! You make it up to me, to search out more sources, like any good historian, so that’s opened me up to lots of other Lore channels and lore sources. I don’t have any minis, I suppose one day I will dive in. Lol.

I may have suggested it in another video, but a fun idea for a Theory video might be "Which worlds would stunt the Primarchs the most?" Like, it's pretty well agreed that most of the Primarchs landed on the right world to help them reach their potential and full greatness... But, if we scramble them up MORE, what worlds would be the WORST fit for each of them, and how would that affect them going forward?
