When I lived in the US state of North Carolina I bought a just trashed looking 1911 handgun from a pawnshop in the '00s for like $200ish. Cleaned it up a little and checked the serial number. Turned out to be a WW2 relic and even though it was in such poor shape I was able to sell it to a collector for almost a grand.

I tested out of the hardest Electronics schools in the US Army, during Basic. That caused a lot of crap to hit the fan, since no one else had ever done this. The average score was 20%, and passing was 40%. I scored over 93%. It was an Engineering school, and I had taught myself Electronics while I was in school. I was 20 when I toot that test. I also ended up at the base hospital after trying to tell the instructor I was sick. I woke about an hour later in a hospital bed, surrounded by doctors and nurses. That instructor tried to claim that I had faked it, in spite of the medical report from the hospital.

I bought an unbranded DVD player from Woolworths for 30 quid, back when 100 was cheap for one. I had friends with £300+ ones that lasted a few years and played just DVD's specific to theor region. This bad boy lasted me 15 years and didn't breakdown once. I only gave it away because I no longer needed it. It would play anything! Any region DVD, copied/ fake DVD's, obscure video discs, c.d's... Fuck, if I put a slice of ham in there, it would have played Babe: Pig in the City on screen. I connected it to a VHS player via a Scart lead and recorded porn onto VHS tapes and ran a small empire for year. Cost me 30 quid, and I made thousands from it!

My Dad drove truck. The one thing he always had with him was a Maglight flashlight. The 4 D cell type. He carried it not only because they are great flashlights but because they make excellent weapons in a pinch. When I got my license I was gifted a nifty red one to keep in my car. I still have it, and use it, 25yrs later. THE SAME FLASHLIGHT!👍

As I live in West Memphis I can tell you it is NOT western Memphis as we are in Arkansas and the regular Memphis is in Tennessee. And Boise Idaho is actually pronounced 'Boys see' sadly that is the American pronunciations. (Edited for spelling)
