I recall that the Chronicles mentioned shards of pure Light flying across the cosmos and impaling into worlds, seeding life and the worldsouls. And while that is in the perspective of the titans, it fits with the idea of both Beledar being a crystal of light twisting into shadow, but also being part of Azeroth’s worldsoul. More specifically its perhaps crystallized “Destiny”. What if when the void and light clashed the shards weren’t of light but of light and shadow, the Certainty and Potential melded into one. While for the most part it seemed only the Titans manifested, they themselves had a disparity to them each representing an “order” expressing the other forces. Aman’thul being Light and its certainty as pure Order and Linear Time, Eonar being Life, Norgannon being Arcane as it could be, Argus being Death. Its possible that Aman’thul ordered these potentials into a certainty, but could not influence the whole cosmos like the Prime Worldsoul can. At least thats where im thinking this conspiracy is going.

Or........ since the Titans used the forges to "encourage" the World Soul to put souls inside magical stone already native to azeroth to form the Earthen........ then maybe the Beledar is from a crashed Light spaceship and before the Titans ever got here.... the world soul had already put some souls inside Beledar? It is entirely possible that Archaedas made a mistake in assuming the beledar was world soul; just because it has naaru souls inside. If the Titans could not see deep enough to answer their own questions; then the Titans may have not seen the Beledar or other crystals at all.

Your comment is almost exactly the thing that I said the very first time I saw beldar one of the trailers. It's a shard of pure cosmic energy. A fragment of the universe itself. And there are several of them on azeroth. The one that we know off is Belladonna are is actually the one that created ungoro crator in the first place. The Titans didn't create Ungoro, they just used it. I know for a fact that the other one that we will know of is in northrend. The nice super green zone of northrend..... And I can say that I'm probably literally the only person on the earth that knew that this was coming 15 to 17 years ago. The first time I played through ungoro crater. Potentially one of the most important zones in the game. And no one knows it.

The best parts of all this, 1 we are getting answers but 2 is it true? We don't know. Could be true, could be half truths, could be what the titans think/believe (doesn't make it true). Honestly it just makes me look forward to the story more, especially what will come in Midnight & The Last Titan. And don't even get me started on the Arathi Empire the arguably true rulers or all human kingdoms that Faerin herself said are not so nice & friendly so to say as the Hallowfall Arathi that we've met. I hate the unreliable information trope they are addicted too now. Its the one thing I wish they didnt copy from Warhammer. @@xR3DST4Rx although I am excited about the future story, you do have a point & I do agree. The unreliable information trope does have a place, but at the same time you can't just go hard into it because I guess as my first comment kind of showed, even if we get answers, as a consequence, we end up questioning if those answers are actually truth or not. Even if we want to believe the answer, there is still that part in the back of the mind that can go "but is it the truth? Or is it their perspective" sort stuff which can derail & scuff a story in multiple ways & as much as I dislike not getting answers, sometimes no answer is the best option.

The way I understood the whole Prime Naaru thing in Legion was that there might be others and all lesser Naarus originate from one of them. The way they talked about that was like talking bloodlines or sirelines in something like Vampire Diaries (there are multiple original vampires and everyone they've turned, everyone the 2nd generation vampires have turned and so on are eternally linked to their original.) And since Light has always had some Christian ties, another way I've looked them is that they're essentially archangels while regular Naarus are angels and I don't remember what Bible stated but in Supernatural at least there were 4 of them.

maybe a stupid question, but could the reason the curse of flesh didnt change the Earthen in the same way as the rest of the dwarves be because most of the other dwarves were created from the forge in ulduar maybe being in closer proximity to yogg affected them more severely?

I think it was something to do with roots of a world tree or the likes providing a direct arterial route for Yoggs blood to get to them and the Gnomes we know. @@johnwaters1768 That’s the one, Yggdrsil or something. There was speculation in another video I saw that there may have been another world tree where Dornogal now stands, one which was somehow torn out of the planet surface leaving the shaft into the deeps. Probably weeded by a titan when the corruption began to set in there. This could explain the slight transformation of the Earthen compared to the Dwarves, the corruption was halted when the tree was removed. The presence of large roots descending in to certain parts of the deep accompanied by the waterfalls and greenery could lend credit to that theory.

I could have sworn they established that the curse of flesh was passed by contact or proximity to those infected after the titan machinery was infected by yog seron. This in and of itself could explain why these earthen evolved differently. The curse of flesh made the titanforged evolve over generations(vrykul starting to have smaller children which became humans, exc). Kaz algar seems to not have been part of the mainland even before the sunderring(colossus in the ocian seems proof of this)which is why they never got the curse, they never made contact with ANY of the other titanforged or any other races from the main supercontinent that split... at least until we showed up. Guess we just have to wait a few decades in game to see if these guys start changing too, lol

Nobbel.... I'm not sure if there is a subtle nuance which does not translate between dutch and english..... but "Prime" has more than one meaning in english. One meaning sometimes translates as a synonym for importance or greatness or magnitude. However, another definition of the word Prime implies both a chronological order and also causation chain.... similar to how the Prime Naaru is implied to have caused the existence of other naaru. I bring this up, only because in the video it seemed like you were interpreting the world soul inside Azeroth being called a Prime World Soul only in that prior meaning....with only a measure of magnitude or greatness. Whereas, when I hear the lore entries in that titan disc room it implies to me that they think a Prime World Soul may have had something to do with spawning their own existence as world souls themselves. The terms child and parent and sister and brother may not be appropriate for magical world souls.......but the causation chain of a powerful World Soul being able to spawn off and create lesser world souls just like itself may as well be suggesting that Azeroth is like their mother. We know that Azeroth didn't always have a planetary crust around itself....and in the mythology, she was traveling through the great dark beyond for a while being chased by beings of darkness before she found a sun and formed a planet around herself. Isn't it possible, then, that the Azeroth World Soul spawned off some lesser world souls long in the past, and among those were Aman'thul and Eonar and Argus and Norgannon, etc? There doesn't have to be any villainy foisted upon the Titan pantheon to see a reason why they might see importance and duty and loyalty towards the prime world soul as their creator.

I see you are also a fellow person of culture. I'll give you a little hint. Take a new character go back into vanilla wow classic. Get them leveled up and go down into Ungoro crater and do every quest and then go into silithis. I'm going to say just this, angoro crater is potentially the most important zone in the entire game right now. Belladar is a shard of pure cosmic energy. The first of the Titans. Before they even had a name for themselves. Azeroth is a pure world soul, as you say. but she is not the mother of all Titans. She's just a mother of all the world souls. Which I think is what you were saying but still. And I personally think that the void is trying to claim this world soul not to make another void being but to make a void being with a stone body like the Titans. No more mortal bodies for the void. I think that they would use as a Roth to force it to birth a bunch of monsters. Immortal unkillable stone creatures who can keep uploading their consciousness into a new body without ever having to worry about anything. I think they want with a Titans have but for void purposes

Don't bring up the bullshit from FFXIV what was a giant nothing burger - and came AFTER WoW anyway. Venat was just a random person with ultra plot powers out of nowhere suddenly able to just genocide a whole planet then rip apart reality and all life with it with a disgusting plan of mass torture for 10.000 years to create on brain dead plot armor super solider to be shot into space to then not even kill (since it's actually Zenos doing that, because the player character could only have stood there and fart their pants) something that could have easily be killed by the real people - what is of course all sold as absolutely normal right and good and you just have to accept this insanity. The whole thing with goddess of light vs god of darkness was just pushed form the table. Zodiark was never evil, but the protector and savior of the planet from the start, while Hydaelyn was just Magical Genderbend German Dictator slaughtering everyone for their new Reich, but the game tells you to ignore this, accept this evil as fine and mass murder for that disgusting thing to keep everything distorted and dying instead of fixing things and healing the slaughtered souls so they could be reborn whole in an unfractured world and escape the endless cycle of meaningless torture.

@@miriamweller812 Also you completely misunderstood the story FFXIV or u slept halfway through it. Venat wasn't random person. She was the Azem, part of the Convocation, same Convocation that decided that it's a good idea to sacrifice half of the entire population to create Zodiark ( i don't see you calling that genocide for some odd reason). Which said Zodiark was acting as a temporal band-aid, and he kept needing more sacrifices as time went on. Also the Ancients were refusing to expand and grow as beings, they wanted an everlasting utopia without sorrow. Venat did to herself what the convocation did to create Zodiark, but to herself. You see, only she could remember what actually happened with Meteion and everything she is about to start. She had to sunder all creation of etheirys so they can tap into their Dynamis because the non sundered Ancients were too dense on Aether to battle against Meteion, which was basically the threat behind the entire universe. It wasn't just about the world of Etheirys. She said she didn't like what she did, but she had to in order to give humanity and the universe a chance to stand again Meteion, and succeedeed. The Ancients wouldn't be able to stand against Meteion as their magicks were all twisted into creating monsters that were eating people left and right. Sad to see such a narrow minded vision, but I guess you didn't wanna pay attention after one point and you just brushed it off. Pay attention to the details next time.

@williamryder781
@williamryder781 Ай бұрын
I think what is happening, though this might be a stretch with this writing team, is that each "force" only sees the universe from their particular lens. At the ground level its not bad, they focus how their particular force is applied through the universe which leads to a homeostasis of sorts. Its when you get a powerful leader or guiding force in power that it screws up the balance, as they are not omnipotent or omniscient and their view of their rivals are colored by their own forces lens. They would perceive the other forces with as threatening if they were allowed to get more power, especially the force that is opposite to them, and thus they try to manipulate and enforce their own power on the universe to control it. Which brings us to the Titans. I dont think the titans are specifically in the Arcane camp. I think the Titans are actually meant to be unaligned caretakers for the universe that are meant to cultivate the force that they are tied to, which means growing or pruning as needed. In this manner they'd be setting the stage for something bigger down the line such as Azeroth. They would ultimately fail at this when Aman'thul, being a titan of order, decided to organize a search for the World Soul that they were ultimately meant to lay the foundations for. Organization leads to hierarchy and hierarchy breeds power. Aman'thul, either through his desire for power or the influence of some outside force, decided to enforce the titan's, and by extension his, will upon the worlds they found. Because he's not letting the titans do their thing without bias they're not as effective at their original jobs and the various forces are running amok across creation and it has been falling to mortal races to step up and pull the slack.

So saying everything is Old God/Titan "creations" or aliens isn't quite incorrect. Though since no real Youngol origin has been released I could still be wrong

They're taking a detour from belledar being a Naaru ship I've said it before, I'll say it again. If it didn't crash but rather....this is an origin story for light/void and even chaos too. The birth of a demon has never been explored but we know they're "life". Living beings born from the clash of light and void and pouring out from the turbulence between...the skardyn look...exactly like demons literally sprouting devil horns and resorting to hostility. They also use abilities with synonyms of "chaos" and entropy in general...if conflict is born of negativity and void IS negativity...but also the inherent primitive survival instincts to fight eat and just like Xal said....survival of the fittest...backstab. It's likely the skardyn are meant to be an origin story for how demons are born in the same way that the joining of darkness and light birthed earthen with souls and free will. The point is....if Beledar is just a chunk of worldsoul...what if THAT'S telling us how Naaru are born in the first place? Sure, the ships travel the universe in search of more planets....but so do the titans and old gods....and if the titans are born of world souls, why wouldn't the rest be the same? And if worldsouls are just like mortal souls and composed of good(light) AND evil(void) then the next question to answer would be...how are old gods BORN. And I have a feeling that seed has already been sewn... ..survival of the fittest and the lust for power beyond the mortal coil. And there's only one character with a darkness so strong she literally shattered the continent. Azshara is that face on the mural in azjkahet. She was foretold by the naga to return with the nerubians and this is the nerubian version. That vertical diamond eye in the center of that "old god" is just like Azshara's naga fish head. She went beyond the umbral veil to transcend QUEENDOM to reach GODHOOD. Shes going to return AS an old god and take belledar. It'll be the key to midnight.... ...and that's why ALL elven "tribes" will be banding together...they're going to overcome their original sin...the very queen who split them in the first place....they will unite to overcome. Void and light exist hand in hand. In answering the questions of belledar and the Naaru...crystalized light...they're going to answer the questions of void and the old gods. Demons being a biproduct of a souls darkness...their SIN. Which will tie in revendreth and Denathrius to the legion and Sargeras just around the time for Illidan and Sargeras to return for the titan conflict and justify why "free will" should exist when it means evil is a choice. A robotic god of order on high like amanthul would never understand why evil should exist and likely wants to remove death darkness and chaos altogether for an immortal/ETERNAL utopia of light and order and maybe a little garden of life but nothing more. If the storytelling remains consistent between light and void it's also worth asking about xal'atath....a goddess of darkness...gee, we wouldn't happen to have a "goddess of light" in the cosmic mythos already now would we? Oh, Elune? And they're already acquainted!? Surely answering the mystery of Xal wouldn't also tell us the story of Elune now would it? It sure does seem suspicious that we got so much Elune plot along with Xal in BFA just for Elune to stop with her first mortal interaction....which....was Through a mortal vessel, just like Xal had to use (albeit one with consent and one with force...which really matches the light/void methodology, at)

it may be possible, that life was always fleshy, and was created by azeroth itself in a fleshy way, cause azeroth is already imbued with all sorts of magic forces - thats why the new force is "blood/flesh/free-will" and the titans took those beeings and "ordered" them into earthen. yes. thats possible, that the "curse of flesh" is just what the titans see in it, cause they cannot grasp free-will and flesh - cause its unorderly and yeah "unruling" that doesnt make the void or old gods "good" it just makes the titans equally narrov-minded and focussed on control as every other force opposing "free-will" (eg Azeroth) in the end, ordering to me starts to sound more and more like "gaining absolut control" making thingsm achine like without free will - cause free will can be chaotic for example.

I think the Titans were once made of flesh and decided to break out of the natural order of things by giving themselves an immortal body like the jailer was trying to do with us. Everybody forgets that was his plan. He wanted to make everyone have a construct body. So that they could be immortal to end the cycle of life and death. He is trying to stop the war between the light and the void entirely so that they wouldn't even be able to need to claim something like a world soul. The real plot twist who's at the jailer was actually the good guy and we fucked up. Which more players would know if they actually read the quests in Zereth Mortis. I mean for Christ sakes if you listen to what the boss is in the enemies are saying in the sepulcher of the first one's. You start the radar entirely unable to understand what they are saying. But as you go through all the quests and you do the raid, the bosses start being able to be read aka you can understand what they say in the entire time basically every boss is warning you to stop doing this. To stop helping the trailer. Because they want the natural order to continue because that's just the way it is. They don't see it as a war they just see it as a natural structuring an ordering of the universe figuring itself out. They are non-interventionist gods.

@@nataschajordan6053 I have no idea what you mean. Titans are all about free will, they have it themselves, they put it in their keepers, they put it in their watchers, and they wanted it in the mortals they would have created as part of their default plans......if it hadn't been for them discovering old gods that prey upon the minds of fleshy mortals to corrupt and destroy them. So the Titans had to try a plan B.... make the lowest rung of mortals on a temporary basis to have stone or metal bodies and resist the whispers just long enough to finish the repairs and healing of the planet and the containment of the old gods......then they could go back to the default fleshy mortal plan they normally do.... just like happened on Argus and happened on Draenor by Aggramar's design, etc. Eonar makes flesh, Aggramar makes flesh, Aman'thul makes flesh. Free will is their thing.

Mortals were not able to get rid of the old gods, why do people always ignore what help was needed for that? Overall even majority of class talents come from cosmic forces in the end. Death Magic, Life Magic, Order Magic, Void Magic, Chaos Magic, Light Magic. N'Zoth is pretty much the only old god that was fought at halfway full power and again: it was Xal'atath who opened the way and Azeroth who killed him. Mortals on their own? Could have done shit. Even with all the training to not just instantly go insane by just being close to N'Zoth - what again neeed Azeroth to even be effective. The others... are likely not even "dead", the old gods are just a very weird life form, but it's more than clear with TWW alone again, that their power is still around and everywhere. That's simply just not a concept that is normal for what we understand as life. When a human is dead, they are simply just a corpse, that's it. When an old god is 'dead', all its power still remains, can still corrupt, can still cause unspeakable things and likely also return that old god whole. It's very likely more Xal'atath's doing, that this doesn't happen than any mortals.

@laertesindeed
@laertesindeed Ай бұрын
By definition.... it cannot be reliable narration..... because it's just Archaedas saying that he heard from Khaz'goroth that they kinda believe it might be world soul essence.... right after they explained that they can't see everything going on under the surface and needed to build a tunnel to go all the way down there to investigate. If they don't fully understand how Light magic works, then they'd make a mistake and call a naaru space ship a chunk of world soul essence. They'd be wrong..... but not villains.
@miriamweller812
@miriamweller812 Ай бұрын
That's not lazy, that's how thing are, child. While there is only one reality, there are endless possible perspectives of it and that before you add any lie. And you don't know what retcon means. It's called retcon when you implement something with the demands that it had always been like this, even though it make zero sense that no one had ever talked about it before. For example: If you got a story about a city and then there is a new information that below that city is a giant, hidden maze since thousands of years. that's no retcon, because it's simply nothing obvious that everyone should know about, because it's hidden, so it's absolutely possible, that no one knew about it to that point. If you instead say, that there is a giant tower in the middle of the city since thousands of years. That's a retcon, because obviously everyone must have seen a giant tower in the middle of the city the whole time.

what the titans say/claim, and the earthen, as yet non-thinking-servants seem to suggest Beledar is, according to what titans TOLD THEM there - corrected it for u ,-) it may be possible, that life was always fleshy, and was created by azeroth itself in a fleshy way, cause azeroth is already imbued with all sorts of cosmic forces - thats why the new force is "blood/flesh/free-will" and the titans took those beeings and "ordered" them into earthen. yes. thats possible, that the "curse of flesh" is just what the titans see in it, cause they cannot grasp free-will and flesh - cause its unorderly and yeah "unruling", chaotic. etc. i think we beeing already ARE a mixture of all cosmic forces, thats why we originally were fleshy to begin with. when titans arrived, they saw it, didnt understand it, thought it was chaos and evil - deemed it "curse of flesh" - maybe the actual curse of flesh was a "re-origination" to fleshy, back to fleshy so to speak. it was their original state, titans turned them earthen - they turned BACK to flesh. maybe the Wardens of the titans didnt even KNOW the Titans made flesh beeing into Earthen. thats why the wardens though it was a curse. but it was the orininal state the titans turned into earthen/machinery. i think the titans also lied to part of their servants too. that doesnt make the void or old gods "good" it just makes the titans equally narrow-minded and focussed on control as every other force opposing "free-will" (eg Azeroth) in the end, ordering to me starts to sound more and more like "gaining absolut control" making things machine like without free will - cause free will can be chaotic for example. i think Azeroth gave birth to all sorts of fleshy beeings to BEGIN with, then Titans arrived, saw it, freaked out, and started their "ordering" cause they thought its old-god-corruption, chaos etc - but we are free will and the amalgamation of all cosmic forces. void, light,arcane, life, chaos, death = FLESH+Free Will and thats what Azeroth supposed to be in the first place - now every cosmic force - including titans - feels maximum threatened about this, about us.

This is exactly the thing that I said the very first time I saw beldar in one of the trailers. It's a shard of pure cosmic energy. Unaspected energy, meaning whoever claims it can seed their own form of life. Of the void claims it, ot becomes another void peince or something. If the titans claim it, its another titan. I wonder what happens when Illidan comes back to claim ot for the Fel. It's why there was a whole different new Ruby and empire up there as they were trying to fight the Titans constantly to get ahold of this other shard up there. And I can say that I'm probably literally the only person on the earth that knew that this was coming 15 to 17 years ago. The first time I played through ungoro crater. Potentially one of the most important zones in the game. And no one knows it.

Considering they kind of fucked up the Mothercrystal in Endwalker this might end up being better.
