That I know of Fresno has no bins. I'm just shopping for myself and the latest find was a new never been totally opened ceiling fan. I was so happy and only paid 20 for it! So, crystal , craft items, knic naks ect. It's fun. I like your videos❤

Seeing your son was so fun! My youngest grandson is graduating from high school next year, he lives in Indiana and I haven’t seen him since he was 13. Getting my resale business kicked into overdrive so I can visit there in the spring to watch him walk. It is a plus because I will also see my other two grand- adults on the trip. If I drive, I’m going to source along the way, visiting all the bins on the way. This might make the trip tax deductible. Win Win

A lot of good clothes. I went to the goodwill here in Bakersfield today. I had 1 1/2 hour before they closed and today was blue half off day. I actually found some nice items, a new Zara jacket and some other great finds in a short time. I wish we had a bins here. I have traveled 2 times to go to one. But I also found a couple 2nd hand boutiques here. I have been reselling for about 8 months now. I enjoy your videos!

Wonderful finds! I recently went to my local bins on Sunday night, basically was passing it by, not knowing they close two hours earlier on Sundays, so I had only 15 minutes to shop, I got lucky, and left with six items, two of them were very nice wool sweater, one for men, one for women, and ironically the third one hand knitted beautifully also wool, was a dog sweater. Other three were just bread and butter, but it was ok, Paid $6, and was done! Sometimes I spend 4-5 hours, with nearly nothing. You never know!

Hey Quenby! When I first started reselling and watching you tube content I too was upset that I didn’t have a bins near me (closest 2 1/2 hours away in Nashville- and I’ve been there once). Also I was upset bc others thrift store prices were so much better than mine. I pay an average of $10/piece here. I got over it. I make the most of my situation. I can still make a profit and I’m grateful for that. I do have a little church thrift store nearby that is fabulous! My thrift dues offer 15% on Tuesdays for seniors so that’s mainly when I shop.

I’d be afraid if I went to the bins regularly bc I think I’d pick up way too much for myself( no shade!) AND I’d pick up stuff that doesn’t sell. I check STR and comps in 90% of what I pick up. But I’m sure you get the hang of it quickly. Love your laugh! Thank you!!!

We have a bins in AZ but it’s in a shady area. I’ve never been there and have no plans to go. It’s also 45 minutes from my house. There are so many ways to source. If you look you can find good brands the GW doesn’t recognize and mark them up. Buy sell trade stores have frequent sales. Get on the list for notifications. Yard sales and estate sales are great also. Find a listing site in your area. Non corporate owned thrift stores are also an option. Online arbitrage has been a great source for me as well. If you can find items that sell for over $50 you don’t need to list 10 $20 items a day. You can list 5.

I was at the bins yesterday and someone stole my best things, an oversized free people embroidered sweater, a Derek lam jacket, and a Christian Dior bucket hat, those I can remember but I found my cart moved to one side. As soon as I started sorting my car I noticed some of my best finds were missing. I got so upset and left. I will keep going on Sundays when it is more chilled, Friday was so busy at the bins.

just found your channel- great content! When shipping large bedding or pillows, use black contractor bags to wrap them in. Cut off the top where its gathered as a trash bag, and then double wrap. Use Pirate ship- they have a "Envelope, Padded Envelope, Poly Bag, Soft Pack, or Box in a Bag" option. You can ship without a box this way-You will save tons on shipping!

Interesting that you mentioned bundling up 2 or more similar items in one listing. I recently went through my inventory and found about 100 individual tops that have been in my inventory for a while and that I plan to change to bundles of 2 or 3 in my closet over the summer. I've never tried bundling multiple same size similar items into one listing before. Although I've watched a few reseller KZbinrs who do so routinely and seem to have success with it. I have not had a ton of success with bundling. It sounds like such a great idea in theory but I don't sell a lot of bundles. It works great for kids clothing for me. I sold a few bundles of my NWT everlane tank tops. I bundled them by size. So, I guess it's hit and miss. I would try it and see how it works out for you. xo Q

Yes exactly California is expensive, I'm from Monterey County, and my bins are 2.99lb. In addition, the regular stores up their prices drastically in just a few months. Jeans went from 8 to 13 to 18 depending just as an example. Their is a 20% off color tag every week, but you can't find it, lol. I'm just happy I live 10 min away from the bins, and lately, I have been going there to lower my buy cost.

If you ever find a truly amazing piece with paint on it (and is therefore worth the effort), I have had some luck getting it out with 100% acetone. Basically, put it on a cotton swab, rub the paint stain and then rinse it off quickly so the acetone doesn't sit on the fabric for very long. Repeated until the paint faded and eventually came off completely. I will say, I've only tried this on polyester/nylon/non-natural fabrics, so I don't know what would happen with a natural fiber.

I’ve started picking up smaller easy to ship hard items instead of clothing (from garage sales etc) like wallets, belts etc. I’m rubbing out of storage space for clothing so I need to pivot lol. I found a popular scentsy warmer and some vintage corningware dishes set out for free at our small town post office and that will be free money! I also have been stopping by garage sales late on Sunday’s and finding lots of free stuff set out that is decent (things like tank tops and shoes that I normally wouldn’t spend money on but I’ll take for free and make free money on):)

Sounds like you are doing great by mixing things up and sourcing different places. I love free piles! Petey and I cleaned out our garage a few weeks ago and set out a free table and gave so much away. It was really fun. regarding your other question, I have used vendoo and primelister and they are both great. I also use notyourdadscpa to do my taxes. I track everything and he fills out the tax forms. I track by hand on actual paper! ha. xo Q

Hello from Sacramento!! Our bins were $1.59lb for everything except media which was .15 cents. But it changed, last time I went it was 2.something a pound for junk, 1.something a pound for clothes and. 25 for media. Don't quote me, i could have them reversed. Lagenlook is pronounced with a "Lah" sound, not "Lag" like jet lag. Translates basically to layered look and involves multiple layers of usually irregular and oversize shaped clothing. Then you can break it down to different asthetics like romantic lagenlook, Japanese lagenlook, preppy lagenlook (think Annie Hall) etc. Not all artsy clothing is lagenlook but its become a catchall phrase with sellers. Lands End makes really good quality clothing and some great canvas totes. I got a few large totes during an on line sale, paid less than $7 each and sold them for $60 each. Your GW prices are only a bit higher than here but our Savers are higher. Most good jeans are $24.99 now. That bins price seems crazy high but Im guessing rent on the building is pretty pricey so they have to charge more. You find great things, tho! I never find Fresh Produce or Hot Cotton anymore. Another 1 to watch for is Blue Fish. Ive only found 1 and Ive been selling on eBay since the beginning, nearly 30 years. I cant resist Bryn Walker either!

I’m from Canada, no bins but 4 hrs from me is one in Maine…plan on doing a 3 day visit…just for the experience. I was wondering can you do a basic start up on how to get reselling…step by step everyone says looking up rn numbers are easy…I can’t find anything…tech challenged. The videos out skim over things common people know…I’m obviously not common 😂

I love the idea of you taking a thrifting road trip! I love Maine. I rent a house there some summers. I am from that area, New England. I am tech challenged too. I have to google everything. Honestly, you can google and youtube your questions so easily. I don't use RNs to look up anything, rare exception is if the item has no brand tag and only an RN on the material tag.
