it doesn't make sense to me that we would need to go through these complicated and unintuitive steps of harvesting a hard, inedible lentil, soaking it, allowing it to sprout for 3 days before we're able to consume it. It's pretty obvious to me that this isn't our natural diet. Fruit attracts us with it's bright colours, it's delicious smell when ripe, it's sweet flavours, and has everything necessary to keep us running at optimal condition.

I think fruit in nature is way sweeter . Blueberries , raspberries, strawberries, apples in nature have always been sweeter. It's simple we either run a glucose aka sugar or we don't . If we do, you can never have " too" much of something that we run/thrive on. It simply doesn't make any sense.

From my experience, and i have been exploring raw vegan diet for last 15 years, the best diet is combination of fruits till dinner, and than dinner to rich salad of vegetables, many sprouts, especially lentil sprouts, some dulse, and seed based dressing. Up to 15% calories from fat daily. You get the best of both, hydration and energy from sweet fruits and mineral rich salad, with right amount of fat, not too much to disturb blood sugar but enough for our hormones.

The Clements lack bodily energy that comes from eating a diet including fruits. Fruits add something greens and vegetables don't. And fruits are not the problem. Eating fruits with fats is the problem. The Clements include a high amount of fat in their diet with sauces and dressings. Of course you will see negative measurements. Fat with fruit in the blood makes high blood sugar = diabetes, and other high blood sugar issues. I feel that Brian Clement has made this diet to suit his dietary desires. That is ok. Just don't lie that fruit is bad. It is not. It's what you eat with fruit that gives it a bad name. Too many people are eating only fruit for decades, as well as others healing from very serious diseases (including stage 4 cancers), eating only fruits--even what they can get today. If you don't like fruit fine. Don't give it a bad name because of that. It's just not true!

Dear Gillian, thank you so much for this interview and your effort to “bring a different perspective to the raw vegan diet”.🥰 I have met brian and his wife 3 times so far and have been amazed each time - what a belly brian has. I'm not saying that to criticize, but to question whether his way of eating is really the TRUE and genuine way of eating.🙏 My experience over the years - clearly says no. Sprouts don't grow on trees and they are very difficult to digest. I tested it on myself about 18 years ago and I was not well. If I eat a ripe papaya or a couple of ripe bananas I don't need anything else all day and I feel light, full of energy and those are facts for me. Brian has a swimming ring around his stomach because he stores toxins but says fruit is unhealthy. The fact is, the many combinations he eats in one meal - the body can't digest them well, so my guess is that his body is storing them. Please look at Markus Rothkranz or Lou - they both look younger especially Lou and Lou is even the same age as Brian. 🙏💖 So I ask everyone here not to believe everything just “because a guru says so”.🙏 Brian is totally against enemas or bowel cleanses - I asked him about it directly. He said 1-2 times is enough. Well look at this video - what intestines look like from meat eaters or cancer patients: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGOTYoJqmtF-sNU and meat stays in the gut for years - we should support our body to get rid of these toxins and poisons as soon as possible with the help of enemas or colonic irrigation. Then the detoxification symptoms are not so serious. My experience after 40 years of experience with the gut is that gut health is the key and 98% of all people do not have a healthy gut. And when someone switches to raw vegan, it is immensely important that they cleanse their gut over several months, maybe even years. That's why many raw vegans look so bad, because they don't detoxify via the gut and the toxins are still in the gut. Don't believe me either, test it for YOURSELF for 3-12 months and you will quickly notice the difference.🙏💞 Why else can it be that when someone does intestinal flushing, they suddenly no longer want meat or sweets or that their knee pain is gone or the gout on their hands. what does that have to do with the intestines? It's very simple. The moment the OLD is flushed out, the body craves something else and most of the time people really crave fruit and vegetables, which was never the case before. And what is gout, deposits in the joints. This means that Brian has the deposits on his stomach, not on his hands. What is important is the daily green in our diet and this can also come from pressed sprouts. About 15 years ago I met a man who was over 100 years old. Raw vegan and very fit - he only ate 500 calories a day and had too much B12 in his blood. Extraordinary. He drank 1.5 liters of nettle tea every day, that was his key. I think the most important thing is; how do we feel in our body, in our mind, is it awake or sluggish......these are the points of orientation for me. Because our body is our temple......where our soul is at home. We cannot simply “exchange” it. PLEASE question everything and check it out for yourself.🙏🙏 THANK YOU for being there, dear Gillian. all the best 💕🙏🤩

And we definitely didn't have time to sprout them, so we weren't eating them raw. Do you want to know what our ancient ancestors were eating? This guy has a protruding midsection, so something is not adding up based on that alone… also, it’s debatable that humans were originally nomadic and walked around exclusively gathering their food because then you have to say that we were hunters as well which I don’t think we were originally. he said that fruit originally wasn't laden with sugar like the hybridized versions of today. So if it's the food of the past, he said he'd be pro fruit too. It's not nomadic what was millions of years ago of being fruit dwelling (that was over 4 million years ago). It's withing the past few million years (1-2 million) - that we became nomadic - and started eating meat after we realized the vegetation isn't as great as the fruit was. Agriculture didn't take place until at most 100k years ago. So his words add up - where it doesn't is when he says he doesn't eat fruit and then does. Some of the fruit he eats has a fair amount of sugar in it too.

I understand the the Hippocrates Health Institute has a rich history of healing those that traditional medicine had deemed untreatable. God Bless Them! I had severe digestive problems as a meat and dairy eater. When I was age 18, my mother brought home a book from Hippocrates Health that she found at a National Health Federation conference in LA. I was so miserable that I decided to try the diet; sure that I would die on the first day without red meat. I remember going to college classes the first morning on lemon water and an apple (the apple was recommended at that time!). By noon I felt more peaceful in my body and mind than I had ever experienced. My raw vegan journey began, and I never looked back. I also have learned and experienced that when the body is out of balance and needs detoxification, any form of sugar, even fruit, can cause multiple problems and exacerbate ill health. But once our bodies are detoxified and back in balance (I had to blend my vegetable s and sprouts with spring water and olive oil for two years before I could tolerate digesting whole foods), I believe having some fresh fruit in the diet is not only a natural source of hydration, unique nutrients , and a delightful part of life, but health-giving. He is correct in that today's fresh fruit has a significantly higher amount of fructose in it that is unnatural. However, I choose to include some fruit in my raw vegan diet. Blessings to you, Gillian, and the wonderful work you are doing! xo

Two of the greatest health wisdom teachers alive today .I’ve been following the teachings of Hippocrates Health Institute and Brian & Anna Marie for over 40 years and totally agree with their statement relating to fruit sugars. If a person is healthy and has no problems, then fruit is great but most health problems are related to microbial parasites who thrive on those fruit sugars and the liquids we consume that keep them hydrated. Thats why Dry Fasting works so well and so quickly to get them under control. A brilliant conversation, thank you so much !

It’s not only fruits that are hybridized, it’s also vegetables - including Cassava. This was the genius behind Dr. Sebi’s work. He healed people through eliminating hybrids from the diet. The issue is that there are pre existing parasites and fungi/yeast that have not been eradicated. Vegetables may starve them more because of low sugar, yet it makes more sense to me to just fully cleanse the parasites out and the mucoid plaque (like how Shane talks about) and then eat both fruits and vegetables intuitively and in moderation.

I'm a raw based vegan and don't eat too much fruit and certainly don't juice fruit. I feel so much better keeping to vegetables, nuts and seeds. I use dates in some of my raw recipes but sparingly. @InnitaG2 ай бұрын
Their statement is that fruit is sweeter nowadays and not good for us but it is still what Mother Nature gives to us. I am not one of those eating 10 bananas in a smoothie or a box of dates because my body doesn’t feel good on so much sugar but not eating fruit at all is crazy. Local, seasonal fruit is a powerhouse of nutrition for every cell in our body as fructose is the main source of energy. Since when sprouting and soaking is natural? What animal on earth spends so much time preparing food? If you can just go outside and chew on some grass and herbs and you live it then yes, you are a herbivore. If you need spices, sauces, dips to make it more appealing it is not your species specific diet. Same is for meat. If you eat it raw and love it (which I doubt any normal person does) then it is your species specific diet. When I see an apple tree I want to eat from it and it attracts me. I have seen monkeys eating fruit and also picking up some grass and eating it as well as it is- raw and dirty. I big difference with the way we prepare our greens in order to be able to enjoy them

I unfortunately had to stop watching this video 3/4 of the way through. I respect that they don’t want to eat fruit and that’s fine. I am also not here to shame anyone but they look aged WELL beyond their years while Gillian looks two decades younger than she is. I know there are other variables at play here but if I’m going to take advice from someone, it’s going to be the radiant thriving high fruit vegan than the couple that looks incredibly aged and uses stevia and oils. To each their own and I appreciate different perspectives and understand that some fruits have been drastically modified, but I feel that these two are way off and are only contributing to fruit fear :-(

I agree with what he’s saying about hybridized fruits. This is exactly why doctor Seni came about to introduce the difference between man made fruits and vegetables and hybrid ones, and why they aren’t electric hence bred with divine essence versus man made essence since those crops were here naturally. Those fruits aren’t hybridized so they aren’t bigger in size and have seeds, nor are they extremely sweet. I’d also advise him to talk about the same thing in terms of hybridized vegetable because almost everything on his table is man made. And they have the same averse effects on the body in terms of producing acidity or inflammation within the body because of them being a hybrid in general. But it’s important to sustain a balance, but the body loves to be in an alkaline state more than it does an acidic one.

Amazing interview Gillian! ❤Thank you for this work you do and share with us all! 🥰 I do love sprouts and micro-greens but I would never give up fruit. We are biologically fruit eaters not herbivores. I grew up in Siberia (very far from tropical countries lol). We used to pick wild (as wild can get) strawberries 🍓, raspberries and other berries and they were very sweet! Completely away from human intervention and they were sweet and I ate tons of them and felt amazing and healthy. I do agree that fruit has to be ripe 100% but we should not keep all sweet fruit out of our diet. I wouldn’t be able to go long term on eating just sprouts and avocados and olives. Plus seed oils are not exactly the healthiest food we should have. I see a lot of points here where he brings up how we were long time ago and how unnatural the fruits are now but then he does a lot of unnatural things himself, so I not sure 🤔 I guess if this program helps people then it is really amazing but once again I wouldn’t demonize all sweet fruit.

So interesting to see all the different shades of raw! I mean, even if omnivores hear the word "vegan", they're probably not thinking of a million different ways to eat. I mean, I'm vegan, mostly wfpb, and you're vegan and you eat raw, totally different from me! And then raw even has so many types of eating! I mean, look at someone like Eli Martyr, and then someone in between him and the clement couple could be for example Chris Kendall or Fullyraw Kristina. And the ones closest to the no fruit I've seen before would probably be Markus and Cara, or even Dr. Brooke Goldner. (I know, they're rather low fruit, not none.) All the different types of raw, so cool! It's surprising and astonishing. Thanks for interviewing everyone. We never stop learning, right?❤

Depending where you live it's not practical or sustainable to be completely raw.. and on a budget, forget it.😩💔 I appreciate Gillian and her lifestyle, but rarely, if ever, do I see raw vegans discussing the financial costs of living completely raw.🤷♀️ Moreover, there's plenty of evidence in the WFPB community where people have healed conditions eating cooked food. High raw is the best I can do, plus avoiding grains as much as possible. You need to do what resonates with you, and what's practical given the climate you live in and what you can truly afford.❤️
