The issue isn't even about respecting Clark, it's about respecting the game. A hard foul while ball is in play is one thing, but body-checking someone when ball isn't in play is unprofessional. There should be serious consequences for players that engage in such behavior. The WNBA already suffers from low viewership and unchecked thuggery isn't helping.

It's like a hockey player who decides to spear an opponent while they are waiting for the ref to drop the puck ... or who smashes his stick over the opponent's head while waiting for the faceoff. Bush league.

The WNBA is old school basketball called by the referee's they want the women to play physical to a point. So, they did call a foul on Carter then upgraded to F1 so that limits Carter A player is automatically disqualified from the game after committing two flagrant fouls. So, it's like getting a technical foul. WNBA women are emotional players Clark needs be like Bruce Lee kick some behind then they stop beating her up.

@@berendoballbomber5977 Carter should have been immediately sent to the locker room and suspended for about 6 games. Flagrant body checks are NOT a part of basketball and should be dealt with strongly enough so that NO other player even thinks about doing it.
@berendoballbomber5977

@@mikemiller3069 no that would be good to start suspending players for playing physical. Clark just needed to keep her head on a swivel see Carter coming Clark could of gave her a quick elbow to her head. I'm sure after it would get around if your coming for Clark your going to pay a price. Clark teammate's need to come to Clark Aide. Referee's will just let them fight it out. Referee's enforce the rules not start suspending player for hard fouls.

Watching Caitlin Clark play is amazing! She is clearly being targeted. This is not the kind of basketball people want to watch, and if she gets hurt as the result of a flagrant foul, it would be a travesty and a disaster for the WNBA. The cheap shot she received in the video looks like something from a women's prison. She will need to get tough, and her teammates need to take a lesson from the major league baseball players. When a player is targeted, the bench should clear in her defense.

@danilobillanes4187 wtf are you talking about jealous and envious? These two players have nothing against each other. At one time, they actually hug and wish each other well after a particular game, but the media won't show that because it don't fit their narrative. Just because you some one that represents you who is very good is no reason to behave batshit crazy like some never see, come see. Y'all need to get a grip and stop the shallow antagonism it's not that deep. Geeeez.

I dont know much about basketball but a cheap shot? A late check? Are you kidding, she attacked her. She turned to walk away then changed direction, shoulder barged her and shouted something at her. That isnt part of the game thats an attack. While yeh its not throwing punches it's still very unsporting. Not the behaviour that should be allowed for kids to look up to from these women. I'm sick of seeing people acting like babies in sport. The only reason for attacking someone is if your in danger of being attacked. Imho any player that goes out of there way to hurt another player, punching, shoving over etc outside of play should be removed from the game immediately.

In my day if someone cheap shots your best player you to for the neck of their best player next time they drive into the lane, clothesline their ass. Pretty soon teams learn to quit that shit

The WNBA loses so much money. Women complain about not making the same as men but do not watch the games. I think they are ok with losing money (as the NBA subsidizes them) and continue to whine about it.
