The issue isn't even about respecting Clark, it's about respecting the game. A hard foul while ball is in play is one thing, but body-checking someone when ball isn't in play is unprofessional. There should be serious consequences for players that engage in such behavior. The WNBA already suffers from low viewership and unchecked thuggery isn't helping.

The WNBA is old school basketball called by the referee's they want the women to play physical to a point. So, they did call a foul on Carter then upgraded to F1 so that limits Carter A player is automatically disqualified from the game after committing two flagrant fouls. I'm sick of seeing people acting like babies in sport. The only reason for attacking someone is if your in danger of being attacked. Imho any player that goes out of there way to hurt another player, punching, shoving over etc outside of play should be removed from the game immediately.

I don’t know which amazed me more: CC’s performance or the unprofessional/hatred behavior of WNBA😂
@JohnJohnson-dj2dv7 ай бұрын
No doubt that CC is a prolific scorer, but remember this - there was no 3-point line when PM played. I will be looking for good things from CC in the WNBA.

Your popularity & how great you are at a sport don’t mean you can forget the rules. If your that good , you don’t need to break rhe rules.
@Joel-f1s2x7 ай бұрын
CC does not break rules she got parents that teach her right from wrong angle reese dont have that
@terrychockley73827 ай бұрын
They are flat out trying to hurt her.. The league and refs are failing to protect the players from this being targeted. Angel and her team won't stop it till the league does it's job an refs ignore.

How is her teammate who was inbounding the ball not getting up in Carter’s face after that play is the real question. In my day if someone cheap shots your best player you to for the neck of their best player next time they drive into the lane, clothesline their ass. Pretty soon teams learn to quit that shit
@ronniemurphy21247 ай бұрын
Taking cheap shots like this should result in suspension for the rest of the game.

These women are supposed to be "professional" players, the jealousy and unmerited aggression is NOT Professionalism. They need to grow up and stop this childish behavior. They will not be better displaying their jealousy rather than taking the challenge and play better.

Angel Reese has been foul hard ...actually body slam to the floor...her reaction...she said...I don't expect them to like me...actually play rough against me ...come at me...Caitlin is just a cry- baby...but buu..someone pushed me and I got a boo-boo..Caitlin put on your big girl pants...Grow up

I want people to get this straight she did not beat pistol Pete Pete maravich did it in 3 years and she did it in four years

a hit like that wasn't anything more than jelousy because her paychecks lower, and she's been outscored

To the jealous & haters, look what you did to her, she became the darling of WNBA. Whenever she played, the stadium is packed & boy the endorsement keeps coming.

CC' s teammate's are trash for not backing her up. That would never happen in men's sports. They need to get rid of them and replace them with players who understand what team means.
@SpeakTheTruthSTT7 ай бұрын
She is the only reason I started watching The WNBA and only her games , she plays so magical !! And it bothers me how the other players are so harsh to her , also her team mates need to start standing up for her !!!
@reneemills-mistretta7907 ай бұрын
And the FEVER coach has no idea how to play and use CC. That coach needs to be replaced with someone who has better coaching skills.

That foul on Clark was flagrant, uncalled for, dirty and unsportsmanlike. But dang, how many others like it have happened in W and NBA history. Did we do support system/wellness stories on them? Scottie Pippen and Gilbert Arenas victims? Just seems a tad soft. "That was an F'ed up NFL type foul! You damn right it was! Shake that shxt off Caitlin. It ain't nothin!" 😠
@darrelkennth99027 ай бұрын
Now the woke WNBA has to hire real quality players of her calibre not the hacks currently employed
@fredklein10867 ай бұрын
WNBA needs to be more like the NHL. If you cheap shot the other teams top scorer, you will pay.
@Darryl-dy4tn7 ай бұрын
It was obviously a flagrant foul and Carter should have been ejected from the game. Catlin did a great job showing restraint..now that is a hell of a professional...

There are two other "major" rookies. How are they being treated in games? That will tell us a lot. Bottom line, women need to be learn to be humble, why hate on one person other that to take out your own frustrations and jealousy?
@janishaughton1647 ай бұрын
She’s being targeted and bullied! The WNMA needs to do their job and protect any of the players that are being treated like Carter has been treated. Those thug behaviors doesn’t belong in sports!

Those who delibertly knocked her down should be banned from basketball permanently.

Caitlin Clark is a good example. Focused on her game, basketball❤. Caitlin will be greater than those who envy her and throw her negativity. WNBA is blessed having Caitlin Clark❤. A real blessing too, to basketball enthusiasts❤.

Caitlyn is a good role model she doesn't have to try hard and the other players don't get as much attention so they act bitchy. Do they know America is watching they're every move.

I love the fact that 99% of the commentators can only name Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese as WNBA players yet act like experts.

The WNBA loses so much money. Women complain about not making the same as men but do not watch the games. The WNBA had a chance to raise the level of interest but the way they are treating Caitlin is despicable. I think they are ok with losing money (as the NBA subsidizes them) and continue to whine about it.
@OlJarhead7 ай бұрын
As usual… when you can’t play as well as others… one will use dirty tactics to try to get an edge. Anyone who does crap like that is publicly admitting that Clark is the better player.
