my dad and i went to a mecum auction in Manheim PA in 2017 and picked up a 2002 35th anniversary 4th gen camaro with less than 6k miles, lots of SLP parts and dealer options. the thing never saw rain, was kept on a 4 post lift in climate controlled garage, still had original tires on it. we paid $24k for it. it as a little over 7k miles now as he only takes it out when the weather is nice. he used to have a 60's camaro but wanted something that was easy on the wallet as his first auction biuykbut it is something that put a smile on his face when he drives it, as it kind of reminds him of my mother who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2022. mecum was a great experience and i would love to go back

This was honestly a superb episode bud. I don’t really like to comment on stuff, but I just wanted to take the time to show you some appreciation this time. You really have done a great job with the channel overall throughout the years, and it’s cool seeing it stay authentic and original while you have become bigger on here with a much larger a presence. Your channel has reminded me of what it was like originally watching Hoovies Garage when he just started out, and feel you both have similar qualities in that regard (even if different types of car shows). You genuinely project positively over the video(s) with how good you are at being both engaging and with an obvious strength communicating your content. This episode was supposed to be about being more fun rather than the “buyers beware” or “how to start doing this type of business on your own” as is accustomed (and appreciated). Your family was an obviously great add for this, and made it both very apparent how you got into this all to begin with. Sorry for the extended long comment too. If I’m only giving you one though. Might as well make it worthwhile. Cheers to you and to cars with no rust 🍻

He wants a 70's van. Probably loaded with candy and puppies and cruising by elementary schools and parks! 😲 I am SO with Craig on the Lincoln Continental! I'd love a 65 convertible. Great car to pull up and take the grandkids to get ice cream!

The gts in 96 was only available in the blue and white. In 97 you could get blue and white but also red. The way to tell a 96 to a 97 blue and white gts is the 96 the stripes run through the license plate area. the 97 left the stripes out of the license plate area.

As you're talking to Chris Lingenfelter, there is that 340 Duster peeking around; at 16.23 you can see it closer. That car went for $145+K and has all the Mopar cultists going goofy...totally missed that on your channel- that would've been a coup. I have an early-production, '69 Swinger 340 and a very late '76 Plymouth Valiant sedan. The Valiant is actually more fun to cruise around in, low stress, people smile & wave. Hides a Bergman Auto Craft suspension & steering set up, 12" front rotors and my blue heeler rides shotgun in that & my F350

@muskokamike1278 ай бұрын
Often though people go nuts with the "modern" low profile wheels and tires. I always say "that lady is wearing the wrong shoes to the ball". You F up the handling when you go low profile, you have to change the set up if you're removing sidewall height.

Craig, station wagons sold like hotcakes in the 50's/60's and the 55-57 Nomad didn't sell that well, also the Pontiac Safari. It was in the 60's/early 70's as used cars that teens/car guys bought and hot rodded them. Being Tri 5 era also helped. Ask your dad, 🙂 Wagons dropped in popularity with fuel crunch of late 70's, then minivans, to SUV/CUV's took over.

You have to get some mics, your videos are getting better and better but the audio is not. When you turn the camera away from you we can’t hear what you are saying. Watch some other car KZbinrs on a tv, like Dennis Collins coffee walk etc. After you have finished editing your video watch it on a big screen. If you want your audience to grow have to get away from the mentality of people watch you on a phone. Picture and sound quality makes or breaks a KZbin channel no matter the content.
