Hey! Nathan here! (One of the current CM Hosts) Thanks for sharing your take on everything that happened. We've definitely learned a lot of really valuable lessons over the past year. I'd like to personally apologize to you and anyone in your audience who felt lied to or deceived by Channel Makers. It was never our intention to lie or decieve, but looking back, we better understand what the public perception was and we are sorry for that. I know you said you don't have any interest in ever collaborating with Channel Makers, but if that ever changes let us know! We really care about creators who are trying to make it on KZbin, and based on your content, you seems like you feel the same way! :)

Hi Nathan, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I appreciate the response. Definitely feels like there were lessons to be learned for everyone. Hosts, company, and audience. Seems like CM was complicit in perpetuating the illusion of single person entrepreneur nice guy in the basement trope. It’s unfortunate that the team wasn’t featured more (even though it seems that was what Ricky wanted). It’ll be interesting to see how you all make changes going forward after going through everything y’all have. I’m sure I’ll be seeing you all at events in the future.

@@ShellySavesTheDay Lots of lessons for sure. With everything playing out the way it did, I can see how people felt blind sided by the fact the channel wasn't solely ran by Nate, but from an internal perspective we didn't realize that's what the community saw the channel as. In every video description on the channel it talked about Income School and in most of Nates videos he was in our company office and interacting with team members. I can 100% confidently assure you that we were not complicit in perpetuating the illusion of a single person entrepreneur in the basement trope. When Nate left I even think he was surprised to see that so many viewers had that perception of the channel. I think he was morally and ethically wrong in nearly all decisions he's made over the past year, but I don't think he was even trying to make the audience believe he was legitimately the only person running the channel. I don't think he was trying to hide us from the audience, I think he was simply in a position of power in our company as the sole creator on the channel and he didn't want to lose that power by allowing more people on the channel. I'm not saying mistakes weren't made on our end regarding public perception, but there was never the intention to mislead or to manipulate the audience for our gain. Over the past year we have made significant changes to make everything we do more transparent. We have had at least 5 team members appear on the channel and in nearly every video Julia and I refer to our team members who are most often off camera. We want to be as honest and genuine as possible. Hopefully you can look at our work over the past year and give us a fair chance. :) - Nathan

I don't get why people still side with Nate in any of this. I have first hand experience with this situation.

I’ll admit that he doesn’t come off looking like he was the good guy but…I also realize this is really one man’s interpretation that’s being put out. Don’t know if Nate will ever have the same level of transparency on his side of the story. Then we all will figure out the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle between both accounts.

@@ShellySavesTheDay Nate won't make comments again. He did before, but then deleted them because of the negative backlash. The problem is that his silence makes him look like the victim even though he's the one that left destruction in his wake.

@@heymrcody oh interesting, I didn’t know he left comments before and then deleted them, or that people reacted badly to his comments. 🤷🏻‍♀️
