What Can You Do With Cricut? | Projects for Joy, Maker, Explore, & More!

In this prep class for our upcoming Maker Academy Weekend workshops November 1-5, I dive into what we can do with the different Cricut models (Joy, Joy Xtra, Explore Air 2, Explore 3, Maker, Maker 3, and Venture) and I show you real-world examples of fun projects you can make with each one. I'll also preview many of the Maker Academy Weekend 2023 projects, so you can get better and closer views of them and learn what you can make with a cutting machine.
I also have a brief introduction to ALL of the Cricut cutting machines and we deep dive into the differences as well as really explore the many things they can do.
I pull out lots of finished projects to show you -- I have a literal storeroom of Cricut projects at this point I can show you, after all, because I just love to make stuff and I save it all.

I have a Cricut Joy for over 2 years now because i was just thinking small😊not so successful with cardmaking but cutting out vinyls for names on burlap bags, resin coasters and trays, plushie toys and labels have been my thing…still learning. I never tire watching your videos😊

This is interesting, I am into Resin and I was asking myself if the cricut joy extra will help me with the namings on my crafs. 😊😊 Do I need to print the names first in the ink printer or it can cut them direct. I originally signed up for my free ticket to the Maker Academy...but after seeing all the projects and presenters/instructors...I purchased the All Access ticket. I have a couple of courses in my Maker Academy files that I had purchased in the past. And I go back time after time and watch the videos on how to make different things for different occasions. Love, love all that the Maker Academy offers! And it's fine to be able to watch them free of course!!

I had a Cricut years ago but didn't use it very much because back then it required cartridges at $50 bucks a pop. It got too expensive and there might only be one or two things on the whole cartridge that I wanted to use. I ended up giving it away. Design Space is a game changer.

Hi Jennifer, I'm new to your work. I've purchased the explorer 3 machine. I mostly work with frit glass power and love trying to make simple stencils. My goal is to make my own stencils. Thank you for your wonderful recording on how to get my Laptop out of S Mode. Finally, I've got the real Cricut program on my laptop so I can design things, then plug it into my Cricuit Explore 3. I chose the Explore 3 so that I could make wider designs to cover the front of a T-shirt, and not just create a small pocket size design.

The Joy can cut paper thin faux leather. The Cricut brand is the correct thickness. The Maker is the best for cutting felt or fabric as there is a rotary blade made for that machine. You could line the back of the felt with the Heat n Bond to use with the fine point blade.
