My Cuban Sandwiches payed my house off, and got us debt free. Totally legal in 96% of the states. And all the states following FDA guidelines for carts. Build any kind of Sandwich at your commissary, wrap them in a Pam sprayed foil, press them on the grill wrapped. Hand them the Sandwich crispy and melt. Always legal.

Yeah I wouldn't mess with hamburgers. Too many issues for a cart vendor to deal with. People want a plethora of toppings for burgers and will complain incessantly about every little detail. Undercooked, overcooked, too dry, not hot enough etc.

I had event it started pouring Out.,I have a open cart. My cart umbrella cover me,my Products, health inspector Said my set up was fine. The crazy part is I got busy And people did not want to stand under my umbrella plenty of room. They want to stay in the rain This was up state ny. Rain was Coming down hard.

Sam's club sell little bite muffins come in packages like chips. I put them on my chip rack all so sell for 1.00ea. They are mini muffins and very sweat

Hamburger may be a no-no because it is raw to start with and needs to be cooked correctly to be safe. Would they allow pre-cooked (factory cooked) burgers?

Hey Keith. I would just call the HD and ask. Some states allow pre-cooked burgers. They now make hot dogs shaped like burgers that work well too. I did a video on those. :)

Know who your selling to at that location. It's important to sell what they want rather than what you think they should want. Look at the crap people eat at carnivals and fairs for instance. If they want it let them have it.

There is precooks burgers that we thought about chopping up and making it a garnish . We are selling snacks next to our cart . It has made good money . chocolate chip cookies warmed has been big raped in tin foil . I get big muffins they love them .

I don't know if you remember you gave me some advice on doing vending on a Pontoon boat a while back I have since had to quit my painting Business After twenty years because of physical Problems found a pontoon boat. Pretty cheap trying to figure out how to get That going to make it into a vending boat. Living on social security right now I've been dreaming about this idea for better than 15 years.. My codes dont show anything about tents, awings, benches, tables, says non enclosed and not protected from weather, but certain tents r not weather proof by any means so. Just curious if any other location I should look for that information? And what about heaters and air conditioners near the cart for employees and customers?

I made great tips, but the boss, well let's just say was challenging. I quit, after 4&1/2 years. I loved my patrons, loved the work I did and what I brought to the table. I was pushed too hard. A cart is a mini mobile kitchen, so you can do whatever your health dept. allows. Some vendors do soup, some pasta, some bbq wings... etc...
