I go to daily Mass and have never experienced a greater joy than when I receive the Eucharist. I was received into full communion with the church at last year’s Easter Vigil. In RCIA I was believing what I was taught, but I didn’t “know” beyond any doubt that Jesus was present until I went on vacation and was unable to go to daily Mass. I woke up one night to Jesus calling me to him. I can’t describe the hunger that I had! I got to Mass 3 days later at the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona at 3 pm on Friday. When the priest did a procession with Eucharist in the monstrance and Jesus was facing me I KNEW and bowed my head to the floor in reverence. My love for the Eucharist burns in my heart and soul! Praise God ! Thank you for your gift Lord Jesus! Thank you for wanting to be with me, a humble sinner, Lord.

He explained how it works with the Eucharist and with the host and I can’t say the word it’s too long, but I understand how it works, and how the how the host becomes the actual body of Christ and how the wine becomes the actual blood of Christ.

I first experienced adoration at a Steubenville conference in 2010, that was the highlight of my life I was a mess of a teenager and Christ met me there. He’s been patient with me but I had my reversion in 2019 right before Covid hit. The sacraments truly are healing. My mother experienced her first Eucharist adoration a year ago and it’s amazing to see the change in her life from that moment. There is a deep sense of peace that comes with being in Christ’s presence, and you truly do become more reverent when you know that is Christ! I wanted to thank you all, this was one of the first podcast I started listening to when I had my reversion back to the faith and I have learned so much! God bless you all 🙏🏽

I prayed to our Lord to teach me about the mass & the rosary ( Medjugorie 6th Oct.1997.) During mass as the priest started the consecration , I got to see the Holy Spirit descend down onto the altar, It was like tiny golden droplets with a hints of orange.( like a dew fall) They fell only onto the altar. Later… During communion as I gazed up to the rosary window the Lord Blessed me, he allowed me to feel His Joy as each parishioner in the packed St James church ,came forward presenting themselves as a gift and then receiving Him in the Eucharist. The joyful sensation juststarted at my mouth tingling and radiated all the way down my body as each person received Him. My eyes just welled up and I had tears just streaming down my smiling face. Oh ….I wish I could just touch people for a second that they too might experience this joy… just unfathomable …I’ve never felt anything like it. That how the Lord chose to teach me about His true presence in the Eucharist and at mass. The rosary lesson also occurred in a heavenly way during the mass which was fitting as unbeknownst to me until it started ,the 7th of October the church celebrates the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. God bless and love the show!

At every Catholic Mass, during the Consecration, God opens Heaven and gives Himself to us. Transubstantiation occurs only in a Catholic or Orthodox Mass. Receiving Holy Communion is the most beautiful, powerful and intimate union we can have with God on earth. He tells us in 1 Corinthians 11:23 For I have received from the Lord what I have also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus, on the same night that he was handed over, took bread, 1 Corinthians 11:24 and giving thanks, he broke it, and said: “Take and eat. This is my body, which shall be given up for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:25 Similarly also, the cup, after he had eaten supper, saying: “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord, until he returns. 1 Corinthians 11:27 And so, whoever eats this bread, or drinks from the cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be liable of the body and blood of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and, in this way, let him eat from that bread, and drink from that cup. 1 Corinthians 11:29 For whoever eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks a sentence against himself, not discerning it to be the body of the Lord. John 6:51 I am the living bread, who descended from heaven. John 6:52 If anyone eats from this bread, he shall live in eternity. And the bread that I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.” John 6:53 Therefore, the Jews debated among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” John 6:54 And so, Jesus said to them: “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you will not have life in you. John 6:55 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. John 6:56 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. John 6:57 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. John 6:58 Just as the living Father has sent me and I live because of the Father, so also whoever eats me, the same shall live because of me. John 6:59 This is the bread that descends from heaven. It is not like the manna that your fathers ate, for they died. Whoever eats this bread shall live forever.”

How can we help with their loneliness and bonding with the congregation so they feel like they're in a family? Edit: we just got a new priest at my parish and he seems to be struggling with the change and the loneliness and I really want to help him, but he is a man in his 40s and I'm a single woman in my early 30s so I also don't want to start any rumor mills. Attending a Catholic Mass is like being invited to The Last Supper with Jesus and His apostles. Jesus saved us baptized with the Holy Spirit from original sin. Sins committed after have to be confessed, absolved and penance served to be forgiven by God. That’s why He instituted Sacrament of Reconciliation. 2 Cor 5:18-19, Jn 20:21-23, Mt 18:18. You have to be in the state of grace (without sin) to receive Holy Communion, as you are receiving Gods Body and Blood and He can’t be in an impure vessel. When the Priest blesses the bread and wine, he’s transforming them into the Body and Blood Of Jesus Christ; It’s called the Transubstantiation. Transubstantiation occurs only in a Catholic Mass. My reason for asking this is that so many people from 35-55 fell away from the church for the numbers of reasons you had mentioned early in the show. Perhaps these young adults who have been finally encountering Christ could be the catalyst for bringing their older relatives back to the church, both the lukewarm and those who have turned away.

I go to see my Heart of hearts every Friday from 12:30-1:30 am, also bringing my sleepy 6 y/o. He never once complained about waking up at an early hour of the morning. Once at church, he kneels and does the Sign of the Cross and we sit as close as possible to the Eucharist. And my son just says in a few words "make me a good boy" then just lays across on chairs with his blanket. I believe, that even though my 6y/o son has the right to complain about waking up at these hours, he doesn't because he knows we are here to see our Lord. PLEASE BRING THE CHILDREN TO SEE OUR LORD IN THE EUCHARIST. Even if they're asleep, they are still talking to our Lord and our Lord is talking to them.

For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me.". Things seemed to be going pretty well. That is until Jesus said “For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood,dwelleth in me, and I in him.” This was too much for many of his disciples and “From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.” Jesus turns to the 12 and asks, “Will ye also go away? Vs 61, Jesus did not back down, for He said, "Does this offend you?" it offends protestants. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Vs 61, Jesus did not back down, for He said, "Does this offend you?" He knew their thoughts and He certainly knew the Old Testament verses about the consumption of blood. In the next verse, He separated spiritual things from earthly things. Vs 63*, Jesus said, "It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing. The words I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life." Did He say He was speaking figuratively or in parables? This is the second verse detractors use to try to "prove" that Jesus spoke figuratively for the whole chapter. Did Jesus say "My" flesh? No, He said "the" flesh. What Jesus had said was, that we cannot accept this mystery if we accept it in too human a way, by having an earthly view of things. Those who can only think of cannibalism, are they not having an earthly view? See John 3:6, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." Verse 63 means that we should not have a carnal human understanding of His words, but a spiritual understanding.😆😆

When one who is born of His Spirit worships Him, praises Him, prays to Him, fasts, loves the brethren, gives, speaks His word, shares the Gospel to the unsaved, and receives of the Lord's table, that brother or sister truly partakes of the fullness of the person of Jesus. To say that the only time one really partakes of Jesus is when that person receives of the Lord's table is to limit oneself from the entirety of what it is to partake of His life.

Jesus is present in many ways to believers, but in the most perfect and real way in the Eucharist. He is present body, blood, soul and divinity. He is the real "bread from heaven" . 31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” 32 Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world.” 34 They said to him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” 35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. (John 6:31-36)

@@CIST3 There is no question concerning Jesus being the bread of life that came down from heaven, and Jesus being the true food and true drink from God. Jesus used the bread and the fruit of the vine to describe Himself, since both elements depict His body and blood, which were to be sacrificed for the sins of the world. The literal bread and fruit of the vine did not undergo what Jesus had to endure to save one from his or her sins. Jesus never meant for the actual bread and the fruit of the vine to be Him, but that it depicts Him. If one were to read in the scriptures the account in John 6: 60-63, he or she would know that quite a few of the disciples thought that Jesus was teaching them to actually eat His body and drink His blood. However, the whole summary of what Jesus meant is found in verse 63: "the words that I have spoken to you are SPIRIT and life." All throughout the Gospels, Jesus used literal objects to depict what is in the Spirit realm. It is His person that one needs to make primary in one's life; or else, how can one righteously call Him Lord? In my comment, I stated that Jesus calls us to partake of Him (His person) daily through more than just His table, but by finding His presence (Spirit and divinity) within the many other components of His life.

I believe the Holy Spirit showed me this. When we receive the Eucharist in the state of grace, the host enters our body, saliva ( water created by God that automatically comes into our mouth) surrounds the host and carries Jesus into our body. The host itself is Jesus, body blood soul and divinity. Some think the host dissolves and is excreted but I was shown how the Eucharist enters through osmosis through the walls of our digestive system and enters into our blood. Jesus' blood mingles with ours, our blood mingles with His. There is no time limit for Jesus to be within us. It is an accumulative effect with no limits. Praise be Jesus Christ. Once we realize this we are never the same. We yearn to receive Him every day.

@@Kod_i The Power of Intercessory Prayer: Intercessory prayer proceeds from faith in God that holy men and women who have died are as alive today as they were on earth (Luke 20:38). If the prayer of the just man avails much, how much more the prayer of the one made perfect (Rev. 21:27) and living with God in heaven (the patriarchs, apostles and other holy men and women).James 5:16b "the fervent prayer of a righteous man is very powerful." Rev. 5:8 "When he took it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each of the elders held a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the holy ones. The angels, too, mediate our prayers. This is taught explicitly in the Jewish book of Tobit (Tob. 12:12), accepted by Christians as inspired until Luther on his own authority rejected it. It remains part of the Catholic Bible. Tobit 12:12 I can now tell you that when you, Tobit, and Sarah prayed, it was I who presented and read the record of your prayer before the Glory of the Lord; and I did the same thing when you used to bury the dead. Rev. 8:3 "Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a gold censer. He was given a great quantity of incense to offer, along with the prayers of all the holy ones, on the gold altar that was before the throne." Is the rosary mindless babbling? The purpose of the different beads on the rosary is to count the various prayers as they are said. Unlike the Moslem prayer beads and the mantras of Buddhism, the prayers of the rosary are meant to occupy our whole being, body and soul, while meditating on the truths of the Faith. Any prayer is vain, however, if said mechanically without devotion. Simply to repeat prayers is not the vain repetition condemned by Christ (Mt 6:7), since He Himself repeats His prayer in the Garden three times (Mt 26:39, 42, 44) and the Psalms (inspired by the Holy Spirit) are often very repetitive (Ps 119 has 176 verses and Ps. 136 repeats the same phrase 26 times). Matthew 6:7 In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words. Psalm 136:1-26 Praise the LORD, who is so good; God's love endures forever; Praise the God of gods; God's love endures forever; . . . Praise the God of heaven, God's love endures forever. Matthew 26:39 He advanced a little and fell prostrate in prayer, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; yet, not as I will, but as you will." Matthew 26:42 Withdrawing a second time, he prayed again, "My Father, if it is not possible that this cup pass without my drinking it, your will be done!" Matthew 26:44 He left them and withdrew again and prayed a third time, saying the same thing again. The Church believes that it is necessary for a Christian to meditate (prayerfully think about) the will of God, the life and teachings of Jesus, the price He paid for our salvation, and so on. Unless we do this we will begin to take these great gifts for granted and ultimately fall away from the Lord. Every Christian must meditate in some way in order to preserve the gift of salvation (James 1:22-25). Many Catholic and non-Catholic Christians prayerfully read and apply Scripture to their lives, that is, meditate on them. With the rosary this can be done virtually anywhere and anytime.😘😘

"That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved." That is exactly what a Catholic is doing when they receive the Lord in the Eucharist. How much more can you confess with your mouth and show your faith than when the Eucharist is presented to you and announced as 'the Body of Christ' and you agree with your 'Amen' and then consume Him in that faith. What an incredible witness to the power of God.

@39knights Sinners are saved from God’s just punishment (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9) by God’s grace, not of works (Ephesians 2:8-9) through faith in Jesus (John 3:36) because of God’s love & mercy (Titus 3:5, Romans 5:8) only on the basis of Christ’s death and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) at the moment we are born of God (John 1:13) for God’s glory (Ephesians 2:7) throughout all eternity (Hebrews 5:9, Revelation 22:3-5).

@39knights please enlighten yourself by watching The great debate vI by James white and Peter Stravinskas. Only if you are open minded and brave. Open your eyes before it's too late. No such thing as purgatory either. You are basically saying that Christ dying on a cross for our sins is not enough.. that why you call him back daily. Travesty

@@Lionessliving I heard enough post-Luther made-up gibberish you call theology to last a lifetime. There isn't much you can say I haven't already heard and studied 10X over and it is still false. "...You are basically saying that Christ dying on a cross for our sins is not enough...." That is not what I am saying at all. That is your mistaken interpretation based on false theologies since the time of Luther. Our Tradition and understanding is ancient and goes right back to the Apostles. What Jesus accomplished on the Cross was to re-instate the possiblity, NOT THE ABSOLUTE GAURANTEE, that people may once again enter heaven if they respond favorably to the Sanctifying Grace when it is offered. Again; Once Saved Always Saved is a false doctrine invented only a century or so ago and is not scriptural. " ....that why you call him back daily. Travesty...." You haven't a clue what you are saying. Jesus died once and became the ONE and ONLY acceptable sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins. By partaking in the Eucharist, as Jesus Himself commanded us (not my fault you don't obey Jesus); we are mystically re-participating in that exact same sacrifice. That was the Christian understanding as taught by the Apostles for 1500 years. Once Luther initiated the Great Apostasy; do you get the nutty theologies that have no basis in scripture or Christianity. Didn't you actually watch the video before throwing out your comments??? St. Ignatius, who was schooled by St. John the Apostle; thus he got the meaning of John 6 directly from the author himself; says this about you: “Take note of those who hold heterodox opinions on the grace of Jesus Christ which has come to us, and see how contrary their opinions are to the mind of God. . . . They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, flesh which suffered for our sins and which that Father, in his goodness, raised up again. They who deny the gift of God are perishing in their disputes” (Letter to the Smyrnaeans 6:2-7:1 [A.D. 110])." Get out of your false sect and false worship before it is too late for you.

The biggest reason for the disbelief is the mass. It does not do the Eucharist justice. Not even close. So why bother even going to mass? Thats the problem.

And if you say it's not the physical body but the spiritual then it's not transubstantiation.If the kingdom of Heaven is inside you then flesh and blood CAN inherit the kingdom of heaven.When Jesus said this is my body in regards to the bread he meant this bread is my words.Stop focusing on the 🍞 bread.Jesus was not a Baker,but a carpenter.God is a Carpenter.Tgatsvwhy he was able to instruct Noah on how to build the Ark.What wood to use,the dimensions and the size.God is a Carpenter as is his son.🙏✝️

It would be transubstantiation because thats how christ becomes present as the Eucharist when more than one person comes in his name. So using spiritual just means the bread and wine isnt jesus fingers and skin. Unless you believe it is???

The same thing with me, not even once in my lifetime attending a mass that I heard a priest during the homily saying Jesus is really present in the communion. As if the priest themselves are doubting this mystery. The priest should veer away from their feel good homilies and start being radical in their sermons. Tell eveyone pornography is sin, etc.

You should talk to them about it. They assume everyone who attends Mass knows everything about our Catholic Faith.

Jesus is God (the Son). He said it is and, therefore it is. So why argue? (especially on this forum) The Church with it’s teachings have been around for almost 2000 years, so these sh*t disturbers who come on to forums such as this place and poke at her teachings will be as ineffective as those that tried before them.

I just report them for "misinformation" and I say a little prayer for them. It's too bad that they don't recognize Jesus in the flesh because that's what he said he was giving us. Jesus is not present in a man made object. Jesus sits at the right hand of the father. A priest cannot summon him down out of heaven to be sacrificed again and again. He died once and that was it
@josieposie9969 Жыл бұрын
@@camp5607 No one said he was being sacrificed again and again and God, meaning the Trinity is omnipresent, that is, Jesus can be everywhere at all times. And it is Christ through the priest, that consecrates the bread into the body and blood of Jesus. It is also biblical.
@The_Atheist_Carpenter5625 Жыл бұрын
Jesus said "This is my body, this is my blood" he did not stutter BUT, here's some other things Jesus said as well: "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." Think about what the bible says jesus did. He told the storms to cease, he healed the sick by laying on of hands, he walked on water and turned it to wine, he multiplied fish and bread and fed thousands of people from a single basket of food. Do you believe in jesus? How many people people all over the world say they believe in jesus? Can you do any of those things, or have you seen anyone else do them? In case you think this is a one off verse that isn't literally true, jesus says this too "for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you." These are the words of your savior. He seems like he's being very direct and serious, every bit as much as when he tells you to literally, not symbolically or metaphorically, eat his body and drink his blood, so why can't you tell the mountains to move? Why are things impossible for you to do as a true believer in christ? Maybe... Jesus was just a crazy person, and your wafers are just wafers😐

I get your argument here, but to counter, apostles and saints through the ages HAVE done those things you are asserting didn't happen. Also, what if the mountains we move are the friends we make along the way?
