I lost a baby at 30 weeks because of pre eclampsia. All I knew about pre eclampsia was the word it’s self.. I actually thought it was a fancy condition from the west considering I first heard about it from my sister who lives in England.. my baby being the third one I had been told earlier by the doctor that my pregnancy was high risk.. I thought oh wow now doctors in Uganda are starting to become fancy. They prescribed a whole lot of medicine that I never even bought thinking it was a waste of money. I lost the baby minus any pain or signs of sickness.. after three days the baby was successfully removed from my womb and Allah let me live.. Yesterday I lost a young friend first time mom to this condition. The baby survived she spent a week in icu and died yesterday. Let no one take this situation lightly. Look out for all pregnant moms out there.. RKB thank you for providing a platform where many women will access this information. And I must say Dr Aisha has explained this the best way.. thank you

Thanks Ruth for this Information, it has affected me on my 2 babies but with professional Doctors we were saved with CS, Though my family and in-laws always blaming me for fearing to give birth as the reason for high pressure. More sensitization is needed in village churches ,communities and hospitals

Thanx Ruth I lost my baby after delivering but I think it was Eclampsia because have checked my Antinatol chart the pressure was ever high but the Doctors did not tell me .

I uesd to attend antenatal at kireka HC111 but they werent checking pressure of pregnant mother and i happened to have preeclampsia i went to Mbale regional hospital where i was retained because my bp was 166/113 thus i had a still birth
