Get rid of dry eyes, floaters, and other problematic issues with the eyes by increasing your intake of these essential nutrients.
Can This Reverse Glaucoma: ▶️ • This Vitamin Reverses ...
0:00 Introduction: Dry eyes symptoms
1:57 What causes dry eyes?
3:17 Retinopathy
4:27 Floaters
5:18 Macular degeneration
7:36 Glaucoma
8:42 Cataracts
In this video, we’ll discuss some common eye problems and the nutrients that can help. Dry eyes and night blindness are often caused by vitamin A deficiency.
Vitamin A deficiency can be caused by a diet high in junk food or an issue with the gallbladder.
Egg yolks, liver, butter, and cod liver oil are the best sources of vitamin A. Plants are not a good source of vitamin A because they only contain the precursor, beta-carotene.
Zinc is essential for vitamin A to work properly in the body. Red meat, oysters, shellfish, and liver are the best sources of zinc.
Retinopathy is often caused by diabetes. Excessive amounts of glucose can create oxidation in the nervous system. Benfotiamine, a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1, can penetrate nerve tissue.
Consuming protein with sugar causes a chemical reaction called glycation, which can cause floaters in the eye. A low-carb or carnivore diet may help. Intermittent and prolonged fasting allow your body to recycle damaged proteins through autophagy and may help with floaters.
Macular degeneration is often said to be age-related. However, blue light, alcohol, smoking, sugar, and seed oils may contribute to it. To improve eye health, try lowering your seed oil consumption and increasing your intake of omega-3 fats.
Lutein, zeaxanthin, and meso-zeaxanthin are carotenoids that protect your eyes against macular degeneration. You can find these compounds in the following foods:
• Green vegetables
• Orange fruits and vegetables
• Yellow fruits and vegetables
• Egg yolks
• Seafood (Salmon, shrimp)
• Grass-fed meat
Glaucoma is an eye condition in which excessive pressure causes damage to the back of the eye. Research has shown that vitamin D can be an excellent remedy for glaucoma. High amounts of vitamin D can also be beneficial for cataracts.
N-acetyl-carnosine and zinc contain antioxidants that protect the eye and improve cataracts. Dark purple, red, orange, and yellow fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants that help support eye health.

Once upon a time, there was a 60 year old man. He had the trashiest of trash diets. He was obese. He had high blood pressure. He had terrible blood tests. He had chronic eye floaters. He had depression, anxiety. He had acid reflux and was on daily Nexium for 20 years. He was diagnosed with degenerative brain disease at Emory Brain Center Atlanta, GA. All of a sudden, he saw Dr Berg videos. In January 2022, this man went KETO + Intermittent fasting with a 4:20 eating/fasting window + walked 8 miles every other day = October 2022, this man had lost 50 lbs, got off 7 medications, with Dr guidance, had best blood tests ever AND floaters GONE!!! Doctor said, you must have been misdiagnosed at Emory Brain Center….yeah RIGHT.

One day my eyes suddenly started to resemble strob light flashes, fast flashes of light, unable to see I called the eye doctor. They ran tests for retinopathy but thank goodness it wasn’t - they attributed it to dry eye. Thereafter, I had black floaters that were so distracting for 7 yrs until I started listening to Dr. Berg quit sugars, carbs, intermittent fasting - taking supplements - it’s been about 2 months in, I’ve lost about 20 lbs., reduced belly fat, no eye floaters! Thank you Dr. Berg for opening my mind to healthy keto!! You have empowered me to change my eating habits- it really is all about what you are eating - once you’re past the detoxing from sugar & carbs, stop eating processed foods- it’s a game changer - a lifestyle change!! @@jasminetea-dc6kt you’re an exception because for most people eggs work. Eggs are one of the only complete foods that contain everything. They’re filling and satiate as well and are versatile. They’re truly a miracle superfood in their own right. If you can’t handle eggs it’s probably not because of the eggs. It would be because of other things and bad habits you have and they have caused that side effect with the eggs. It’s not the egg itself. Sorry.

Until I met my doctor who did my retinal detachment surgery, he told me he could do a procedure called a vitrectomy surgery. Basically flushed out the gel of my eye and replace it with a solution. It Improved my QOL by 80 percent. I still have them but now its much more enjoyable to go outside. Anyone having severe eye floater issues just know your not alone. Cataract surgery. Worst decision ever!! I'm a professional illustrator and animator. Because of that surgery, I now have a retinal pucker in my left eye due to a torn retina which WILDLY distorts images in that eye. All lines are wavy, everyone's face looks like Benedict Cumberbatch and Adam Driver, everything is 40% bigger than in the right eye. Both eyes are full of huge floaters and have terrible dry eye. Please friends; try EVERY natural solution for cataracts before resorting to surgery!

I am so glad I saw this video this morning in my notifications and that I didn't ignore it. And I'm even more blessed that I read the comments and these replies. My mother-in-law had Lasik not once not twice but I believe even a third time or perhaps the third time was to repair you guessed it, her cornea it was damaged. I will never let these guinea pig torturing monsters ever touch me again. I suffer from floaters for a very long time now and I just turned 48.

🎉 Speaking of vitamin B1, I just suggested it to a neighbor who suffers from a thumb sucking condition called Non-nutritive sucking habits (NNSH). He also bites his nails, "onychophagy." He got mad at me for trying to help, now he sprays toxic perfume towards the breeze in an attempt to poison my air quality. Sad deal. Oh well, thanks Sir! Have a great day everyone! 🙂

I was always told my floaters would just be something I had to live with forever. No suggestions to try to resolve the issue. Your videos are always so informative. As someone who has tried (and failed) at a Keto + IF lifestyle and wants to commit to it again, along with taking proper vitamins/supplements, are there any videos that explain what vitamins/supplements can be taken together (and ones that should never be taken together) and what time of the day they should be taken for optimum absorption? Thanks!

Most comments for the floaters but I’m grateful you brought up severe dry eye. I’ve been suffering for years since my hysterectomy and I have torn the epithelium top layer off of my corneas multiple times when I opened up my eyelids after sleeping with my eyelids stuck… Several times I’ve had to go to the emergency room and beg for the numbing drops which work only for 15 minutes at most. The ripped cornea pain is agony and it takes about four days for your eyes to start feeling normal again. I’ve tried Restasys and Cequa to no avail. Its a horrible condition which makes me terrified to fall asleep. Thank you for your advice - vitamin A, zinc to make it work, butter and egg yolks. My optometrist has never told me this. Thank you Dr. Berg.

I tried taking Benfotiamine and it gave me a bad case of disaster pants. I went back to taking normal Thiamine, which I had already been taking for years and was/is working fine for me. I mostly take Thiamine (B1) because it keeps the mosquitoes at bay. They have me for lunch and I whelp up so bad and itch horribly for days, but if I take B1 they leave me alone. I know there are other benefits, but that's the main reason I take it.
