Male factor infertility was corrected for my coworker. He and his wife tried to have kids for 15 years. Then a Urologist suggested a 30 day treatment of Cipro. After 2 months his wife was pregnant! Sadly, she miscarried after about 8 weeks, likely caused by the emotional distress she experienced when her mother died unexpectedly. However, she got pregnant again in only 3 months and they now have had 2 healthy babies. It turns out my coworker probably had an undetected bacterial infection caused by something called Ureaplasma which is sometimes very difficult to detect and this was affecting his fertility. Whatever the infection was, 30 days of Cipro cleared it up. There is so much money in IVF treatments, I think the medical profession is ignoring the simple solution for SOME people.

I was diagnosed with OAT, my hormonal tests and physiologic test are normal. I have been under high blood pressure medication for 8 years. We had 4 failed ISCI after 2-3 days embryos transfer. Embryos quality may have not been the best due to my severe male factor. We think keep trying another cycle will be a waste of money if the sperm quality is not somehow improved. I’ve heard that clinic in Ukraine dialed with similar cases, with successes result. They suggest treatments and procedures which may improve situation. Also we consider Ukraine because of its prices. They much lower compering to similar reproductive centers in Europe. We are planning to attend it this spring. I’m suffer from realizing that I can’t give my wife desirable baby. You see male infertility not so popular subject as female. I think, this doesn't need to be a taboo subject left in a closet, nor need do men to go through this alone. Education and community are key elements to improving health.

I'm 40 and I can't produce kids, i found out in my early 30s. I'm in my second marriage because this problem well part of it, I got married at 20 and I couldn't back then but she could and she did lol have kids. It just not meant for everyone and I had to faced it, 20yrs of doctors making mistakes and it all boiled down to me needed a whole lot of money I am a guy who don't have a lot of money so ivf was a no good and adopting too is costly which I don't understand but it is what it is.

Hello.. While waiting for response, I allow myself to answer !! As a physician I think that getting pregnant from your husband with high blood pressure & cholesterol may not affect the baby ... Your Husband should try as hard as possible to fix those problems that increase heart attack & stroke risk especially while practicing sport or even while having sex !!
