I had reoccurring mouth ulcers for 20 years now have NONE. I was deficient in B12 or B vitamins or folate or Iron or zinc, or all. Also now have zero sugar as it may interfere with absorption of vitamins, and help ulcers form. I eat Marmite 1 or 2 times a week, which has all the needed vitamins. B12 deficiency is a big cause.

I am an Indian and we eat a lot of spicy food. I found out that placing spice like chilli power will make it disappear within 1 day. Yes it will hurt so much but it worth it.

Also can be caused by use of products containing sodium laurel sulphate..... check the labels on your dishwashing detergents, shampoos, and cleaning products. I am so sensiitive to this that l get mouth and nose ulcers if l eat or drink from a dish that has been washed in it.
