@@EugeneKhutoryansky Why does the wave function rotates?
@Shenron5574 жыл бұрын
@@theunknown4834 The wave function does not actually rotate. The rotation is shown to represent the real and imaginary parts of the wave function. Look at the axes' labels in the animations. Its kind of like this: To represent a real sine wave, you need two dimensions (lets say X and Y). If an imaginary component is also added, you will need an extra dimension to show the imaginary part. In the simple cases shown in the video, the real and imaginary components combine together which seems like a rotation. For example, if you plot the function exp(i*t) on a complex plane where t goes from 0 to 2*pi, you will see a vector rotating in the counter-clockwise direction.

@Guido_XL4 жыл бұрын
And yet, it makes so much sense, even if you have no educational background in this science whatsoever. Of course, waves will interfere with one another. That's what waves do, be they of an elastic, electromagnetic, or probability nature. The scholars of ancient times were not foolish at all when they intuitively proposed the universal music of nature. They had not yet the capacity to begin to grasp quantum-mechanics, but they already sensed that waves were vital to the total concept of it all.

Well, the concept of the wavefunction is a method of describing _how_ nature behaves. Then, trying to describe _why_ by leaning on this description misses the point. A more profound description would instead emerge from a field theory were the concept of "a particle in a box" is a misnomer. The concept of a particle emerges from a measurement and its subsequent decoherence. Without such measurement it is pointless (!) to talk about a particle.

OK, this video on the Pauli exclusion prinicple is the best and clearest example i've ever seen, Way to go! Even my husband was able to follow it. :-)

I finally get it. After viewing this video many MANY times, I get it. This is so clever. Too many identical electrons in the same bowl spoils the soup :) Your animations are amazing and make the concepts intuitive.

I'm failing both maths and physics in college yet I understood this perfectly, this is a godsend.

I went through that..hang in there. You can pass those May I suggest.. 1-Hang out with the 'A' students after class. 2-Any questions or doubts, always discuss them with the TA's or professor everyday if necesary 3-Get a tutor. 4-Solve 'extra' problems and repeat the problems you already did (it becomes a reflex). 5-Learn to love math and physics like a puzzle, make it a game. 6-Make it personal, don't let it beat you. Never give up. 6-Remember- Your brain is the same size as Einstein's was.

@oznerriznick24744 жыл бұрын
@@jamesbentonticer4706 Basal ganglia is over rated. There are people born with half a brain and enjoy a nearly normal life. It's been shown that we can actually regenerate brain matter. "I don't have enough basal ganglia" is just a lame excuse...

Thank you for making many of us understand finally this principle. I wonder if you had in mind any video about quantum field theory, is also a subject that has been always complicated to imagine. Thank you for the quality of your videos.

Thanks for the compliment. Quantum Field Theory is on my list of topics for future videos.

Your videos are just AmAzInG! Would that you were my Physics teacher! You have built my interest in Physics... I've realized from your videos that Physics is entirely different from what it's taught in our schools, colleges etc. I am very very much ThAnKful to you 🥰 ThAnKs for existing! You may prosper in every field 🎈 Stay blessed ♥️

Thanks for the compliments and I am glad that I have increased your interest in physics. Yes, the way physics is taught in the classrooms is very unfortunate. They take the most facinating topics in the universe, and manage to make them completely dull and uninteresting, and make people want to stay as far away as possible for the rest of their lives.

Beautiful demonstration of Pauli's exclusion principle in which you can fit as many bosons into one state and how only one Fermion can be placed in only one state.

This is one of my favourite channels to watch while drunk/stoned. The 3d visualizations help so much compared to static 2d drawings in class. This channel has inspired me to take up learning again, and possibly take another try at mechanical engineering.
