I work 9-9.5 hour shifts as a cashier while im doing online schooling and ny feet are in such pain after the shift i cant even rest after i go home. Ive tried naproxen, tylenol, ibuprofen, and none of it seems to dull the pain at all maybe because im still standing on them during the shift i work this six days a week and walk to the bus stop to get there which is a forty minute walk. I have to wear slip proof shoes at work so i do and i put inserts in them to cushion standing on those hard floor

I can't answer that without evaluating your foot structure and function, as there can be many reasons why they ache. Many people try well padded arch supports at first to see if there is any relief, but they do not help in some cases. I recommend you see your local podiatrist.

Is there anything i can do to make my shifts more bearable as i am looking for a new job but my town doesnt really have many non standing jobs. Also ive been to the doctor previously for foot pain that began after a workout with a trainer and got progressively worse and he gave me steroids for foot fasciitis and it worked but how can i make everyday life more doable im also getting a callus on the ball of my foot

Hey doc. thanx for posting informative videos so often. im recovering from a sprain on my left ankle and lately well just yesterday i noticed that when i walk ive been stepping or leaning on the tarsometatarsal joint side of my foot rather than a flat step. should i get an insert for my foot? I really think it is the Converse shoes I have been wearing they are flat on the soles. no support like a running or walking shoe.
