If England are to win anything out of this tournament this is what they have to do. Watkins Ivan Toney Gordon Bellingham Rice Saka Tripper Guehi Stones Walker. After 60mints, Kane for Toney, Foden for Saka, and Palmer for Gordon. Simple football 😊 England need two strikers. Stop the fixation with Kane, he's old now and can't press on his own!

I think he's got to change the formation a bit 3-3-2-2 Pickford Walker-Guehi-Stones Trent-Rice-Gordon Bellingham-Foden Kane-Watkins Back-3 will be strong. Rice as the DM. Trent and Gordon as wing backs who can drop back to midfield if needed to defend. Bellingham and Foden just behind the 2 penalty-box strikers. Kane and Watkins up front. Watkins' pace up front will be a huge bonus because Kane does not stretch defenses. Trent and Gordon can beat players and fire in crosses to 2 target men.

Need to play the 4-1-2-3.. give trent the ability like he had at liverpool to run up the wing and play into midfield.. rice needs to be like a fabinho or fernandinho type of cdm and help the back two when ever trent or trippier go forward so you have a 2 stable at back from counter attacks until wingbacks get back... and we need players who can make runs into the box and past the others teams defenders.. harry kane cant even run and is useless unless hes getting balls into the box from the wings but with southgates style of play that isnt happening Walker. Kane's is coming deep for the ball because there are no crosses coming into the box. There needs to be a recognized left winger, perhaps Gordon. Trippier must overlap or underlap the winger just to give the opposing defence problems. Trent isn't winning the ball back or running the game. Surely Southgate can see that.
