Idk. Since the girl gave the ship not to Usopp, but to Luffy. Luffy invited Usopp with them. It was never Usopp's ship. Even so, that's only half the reason. The main point is that Usopp felt the ship was the reason he was there. They only wanted him because of the ship. He fixed it and it made him feel needed since he knew he wasn't a monster like Zoro or Sanji. He was insecure about his contribution to the crew and challenged Luffy to prove to himself that he was strong.

I think you miss understood the point of him telling Nami to lie. If Ussop was in that situation, he would have yelled it just as loud as Nami. Like he has before. But Nami is his friend, that he greatly cares about. He didn't want her to die when she could simply lie and survive. In that moment, he cared about his friends life and the crews navigator, more than proclaiming Luffys dream for the millionth time. They have followed Luffy to death and back so many times. It truly wouldn't have mattered if Nami said otherwise in this one instance when she was really about to die. I don't think Luffy would want a loyal yet dead crewmate. He'd rather his friends live, if they had to lie. You can see that with how even after Sanji showed doubt in the crews ability to stop Big Mom and Judge by excommunicating himself, Luffy still cared way more about Sanji coming back to the crew than dealing out some stupid punishment. I just think its silly when people bring this up as an instance where Ussop disrespected Luffys.

I think its more of priorities. To usopp, life is more important than pride but to the rest of the strawhats, they would rather die than throw away their beliefs. Their prides and trust to each other weight more than their lives. Thats why the very fact that usopp told nami to lie about luffy being the pirate king is just a punch in the gut to her. Her own pride wont allow it. Thats the outlier, whilst the others value pride over their lives, usopp would rather throw his pride away to live which ironically makes him more human. There has never been an arc where usopp lays everything on the line to protect what he believes in. The only episodes close enough would be the duel during earlier seasons with the bounty hunter and the fight with luffy over the ship which was the episode that made a lot of people hate him. Going against your captain and friend over a ship that has outlived its life? Thats just disrespect. Thats why zoro wanted to kill usopp during that episode for mutiny but stopped short because they're all friends

Ussop is a coward who gets braver through the series starting with being willing to die for his village, then being willing to die for his friends, and starting from Dressrosa he is willing to die for others. The ship wasn’t just from insecurities but because it was from Kaya and the Going Merry has been helping them the whole time (ships do have souls) and Luffy was getting rid of the Merry. Ussop only wanted Nami to lie so she won’t die even though he also would have said Luffy was going to be the pirate king as proven in Alabasta.

You see, I was sort of the opposite. At first I absolutely hated him because of his constant acting like a coward yet somehow always lucking his way to victory through his lies and deception...Then I reached the going merry. He was the guy who always psent the most time the ship, even seeing it's spirit in Skypiea, and when he found out that they would have to leave behind the ship that had carried them so far, something they all considered a friend, Ussop was the only one who tried to keep it afloat, keep their friend alive so that it could travel with them to finding the one piece. Yes he argued with Luffy, but it wasn't out of malice, just a simple conflicting of desires and views as to what the going merry was to their crew. In the end, Ussop realized that just like the others he too had to let go and allow the Going Merry its final rest before then getting on his hands ands knees and apologizing to his friends and even begging to continue with them. To me, that brought to light that Ussop is probably one of the most caring friends one could have, going out of his way to do everything he could to help them, and even willing to lie for/to his friends if he thinks there is even a sliver of a chance it could save them. He worries for Luffy probably the most as even though he knows Luffy is the strongest he still sees how outlandish the odds are against them and attempts to be somewhat the voice of reason before then comitting his all to what ever he finds himself before to continue beating the odds of him simply being a guy with a slingshot and weird plants compared to people who can control the weather, create limbs out of nowhere, crack/slice mountains like it's no problem, etc...

While I do also agree that Usopp was projecting the crew and his captain giving up on the Merry onto his own possible status in the crew, I stand by that a large part of his motive was to protect the Merry. I'm not a fan of Usopp most times, but I found myself agreeing with him in that arc. I understand having to be loyal to the captain, but loyalty goes both ways and I really felt like Luffy was giving up on Merry too easilly when I first read it. But hey, that's just me

That ship was just as essential to him as any of his other crewmates and he, reasonably, did not want to say goodbye to it. All of the Straw Hats like Luffy like that, what do you mean? It's obvious that Sanji has always had undying loyalty to Luffy. Hell, the Baratie arc, when he was introduced, proves that. Sanji only joined the crew because Luffy saved him and the Baratie from Don Krieg. That's when he truly believed in Luffy's goal. After that, he and Luffy talked on and on about their dreams with each other, and Sanji has been a crewmate ever since. Not to mention he's put his life on the line for the crew time after time after time, willing to take Luffy's pain just like Zoro before Zoro knocked him out, like the bro he is. Sanji's number one quality is kindness, stated over and over again throughout WCI, and shown ever since the Baratie when he was introduced (examples: Gin, speech to Usopp, sacrifice in Skypeia), of course he likes Luffy, he's his captain. He specifically goes out of his way to make sure that he can handle things on own so that they're nobody elses burden, though his character has developed further, as seen in Wano. Luffy has saved every single one of the Straw Hats, they wouldn't be on the crew if they didn't like him lol. To top it off, he's officially one of the wings of the pirate king, one of his left/right. There are so, so, so many examples throughout the series of Sanji liking/believing in Luffy and the rest of the crew that it's not even funny. Seems you just had a literal blind hatred towards him because he's chivalrous. The way you're talking about him is the way the video is talking about Usopp. Though, I guess it makes sense, it says "irrarional" hate.

It's clear the author didn't want females doing anything in part 1 or being in any action. I mean look at the jounin teachers feats: Kakashi insanely op becomes hokage, Guy the strongest Taijustu user ever and one who soloed Madara as a ten tails jinchuriki it's clear that guy would have soloed both Madara and Hasharima in their prime had been around then (Madara didn't even have rinnegan), Asuma fights 2 akatsuki and styles on them. Then look at kurenai the only female teacher from the main squads: uses genjutsu on Itachi, gets pregnant and then retires. In fact her squad is the weakest and most filler squad of all

You're misinterpreting the Nami scene, Usopp would do the exact same thing that she did. But he would never let his friend die because they did it.
