It is not necessary. There is plenty of precedent including cases which went up to the Supreme Court which agreed that special counsel could be employed. This case will be overturned on appeal. Cannon is just wrong and corrupt.

My suggestion is faster and there are no Trump appointees in the District of New Jersey. Smith should have proceeded in New Jersey from the start instead of filing in a venue where he had a one-third chance of drawing Cannon.

They couldn't. It would take the 11th circuit to do that. And even they couldn't do that until she made an actual ruling. Now she has, and now she is off the case. She will be reversed, and the case will start again.

@@FionaKelleghan111As I understand it, Jack Smith can appeal this ruling to the 11th circuit and also file a request with the 11th circuit to have Cannon recused from the case. If granted, Cannon would be removed from this case, which would get assigned to a different judge. Cannon would still be able to preside over other cases that come before her court.

This dismissal was Cannon's Plan B. Her first idea was to seat a jury and then dismiss the case so it couldn't be retried. That explains her screwball proposed jury instructions last April for which she was roundly ridiculed. Then Justice Thomas' dissent came out & she decided to ditch the case now. Saying that Cannon is in tRumps pocket is an understatement. If there ever was a more blatant perversion of the law , it was on full display with this ruling. It's obvious that she was working on this ruling long before she dismissed the case publicly. I believe that Congress needs to get involved. I'm not sure what they could do,that's above my pay grade but something needs done. You hit the nail on the head Harry.

If it was to be an open and shut case, it seems that Walt Nauta and the other guy seemed pretty confident to not turn on Trump. What that tells me is that Trump knew a long time ago that the fix was in.
