Hi Brother Halverson. Today is December 14, 2023, and it is fun to be able to look back at the speedy evolution of your KZbin presentations! You hit the ground running and steadily gained speed. We get a front row seat at what has become a mighty miracle. Thank you for your hard work on our behalf ❤

As I’m rereading the Book of Mormon, I’m trying to take more time to drive into the scriptures and gospel doctrines being taught… not being so concerned about how many verses I read in a day, but rather trying to truly immerse myself in the words and focus on learning. The last few days I’ve been in Jacob chapter 4, I love all that it teaches. And today I started Jacob chapter 5. There is so much to uncover in Jacob (and the rest of the Book of Mormon) that I thought I would see if you had started recording before teaching these books in 2020. I was thrilled to see that you started in Jacob (given the timing of Covid, etc.). It’s my goal to continue to study with you in the New Testament (fantastic lessons by the way, THANK YOU), but to also listen to these original Book of Mormon episodes as I continue to study tue Book of Mormon. This will be a treat!

Thank you for your patience and understanding towards those who doubt, have questions or who hit rock bottom and afraid to move. Thank you for taking time to explain, point out and unwrinkle the confusion, misunderstood and questions and minds of the godly curious souls. This is exactly what I needed and I'm sure others who have concerns about their faith or struggle with what they are going through and in silence we stay in fear of being judged. This was an answer to prayer. Thank you again

I found your videos around the Mormon chapters last year and I just want to say thanks for spending time recording this. Being married and with kids Me and my husband didn’t realize how much institute We were missing in our lives. And now We get to go back and listen again. You have a great way of presenting the context of the scriptures and we can feel the spirit when we listen to you.

Thank you! And thanks for going back to find these older lessons (and for putting up with the poor video/audio quality!). It's great to have you "back in Institute"!

Thank you so much! I'm always grateful when people go back to learn from the earlier lessons. The audio and video aren't very good, but I still think the content is important! Thanks again for being eager to learn!

Thank you for doing this mysterious chapter last year. I'm reading the BOM again and just hit Jacob 5. You've grown a lot in the past year, but you were ahead of the game when you started. It's great watching you.

It makes sense that Jacob pauses mid sentence as he is explaining about his former people, the Jews. (I say formal because it's the place and people Jacob has come from.) Many times in my own life, I have been listening to or reading/viewing something that relates to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I'll receive impressions from the Holy Ghost, regarding the things I should know and do. In the act of striving to be more righteous, we can receive, and hopefully recognize, the Holy Whisperings of the Spirit; helping to guide our lives.

Brother Halverson, my husband & I are very excited to have discovered your "Unshaken" series. We are just sorry that we didn't find you a year ago when you first began your discussions of the Book of Mormon. We will enjoy each of those presentations as we begin our B of M studies again. We have thus far heard all of your lectures on the Doctrine & Covenants as well as your Easter Message. We are beginning our study of the Book of Mormon again tomorrow having finished the reading of it this morning with our scripture study. We heard your discussions of Jacob Chapter 7 and Jacob Chapter 5 - Part 1 this evening. We are so very excited to share in each of your discussions of the Book of Mormon & those of the Doctrine & Covenants as they are presented. Tonight we heard your comments about Thomas Jefferson. I just have a suggestion for you. If you haven't read: "The Real Thomas Jefferson" by Andrew M. Allison, W. Cleon Skousen and others I would strongly suggest that you do so. Shortly before Thomas Jefferson died he prophesied that the true church would be on the earth in the not too distant future. He would not live to see his prophecy fulfilled. Thank you for all that you are doing to enlighten us with your "gift of knowledge & understanding"! We love your discussions & will be with you for the duration! We are as Jacob and our faith will not be shaken! We are referring your "Unshaken" series to all of our family & friends.

"There's never only chances. There's only Jesus. But He (Jesus Christ) keeps giving us chances." ✝️🕊️❤️ That is Jacob chapter 5, in a nutshell. "Once you hit rock bottom, which is actually an amazing place to be; I realize that once you hit rock bottom, you're finally back in contact with the Rock that has always been beneath you, bearing you up." ✝️❤️ Beautiful phrases and metaphors! ❤️

I am seeing this video for the first time in 2022, so I hope you see this. I think there is a lot more to glean that is happening between Isaiah and Zenos. In other videos you mentioned that some prophet pairs have different perspectives to teach the same concept: Head and Heart focus or Law and emotion of the Lehi/Nephi pair as they both saw the Tree of Life vision but Lehi missed things that Nephi saw…and again from Mormon / Moroni. Isaiah is a writer of beautiful images in poetry and waits to mention that the vineyard represents the House of Israel until several verses in, perhaps to get the sympathy and emotions of his audience but Zenos as quoted in Jacob 5:2-3 starts by saying Hearken (listen with the intent to act) to me, a prophet, you house of Israel are like a old decaying olive tree. Not much buildup or on-ramp there. But both men were martyrs for their testimonies of Jesus Christ.

Good to see a shorter video from you! I’ll be able to work them into my schedule and watch as many parts you need to describe this week’s subject matter….this Olive tree allegory needs more explanation! Easier. But I must soften my heart…..I complained about long videos, but guess I could just out you super long videos into “watch later” file to work my way through them. Forgive me

🤚I can see believing in the wrong things or looking beyond the mark at things that are not revealed or speculative being a big problem just as much as not believing, but is it possible to have too much faith as you stated? Joseph Smith said that he never saw a man be damned for believing too much... Not trying to make a man an offender for a word just wanted draw some attention to the topic.🤓
