Thank you for your kind words--and for tuning in. The gospel well is bottomless, so it's a great blessing to lower the bucket for another drink!

I had to go back and listen to your old lessons. This answered my prayer today: “Bring in light, develop good branches, work on those things and quit fixating on weaknesses that you’re trying to overcome and simply develop strength. Turn to the Lord, study, serve, pray, praise, worship, work, and you’ll find things changing naturally.” Thank you so much for “speaking with the tongue of angels” so that I can hear the message God intended for me today.

Besides being recommended to view the parts of Jacob Chapter 5, I didn't fully know why I wanted to start with this today. Now that I've heard you discussing about cumbering our own lives with idleness and also having a repeat of the bad branches overcoming the good ones again and again, I am grateful for the answer to my question regarding the repeated mistakes in my life. I'm grateful for the analogies for replacing bad with good through the process of time and continued, daily repentance, as well as the suggestion for changing up the positive things we can do to help our minds and our hearts continually stay active. Thank you! 😊

Brother Halverson, you see visions in things that I'm still struggling to recognize punctuation. I am grateful for you.

"I am sure of the fulling of this promise" is actually in 2 Nephi 3:14 not in 2 nephi 27:20-21

So grateful to be able to 'go back' and study the Book of Mormon with you. The lessons have come a long way - but the Spirit and the message are still wonderful.

I only knew you in your last year in Tennessee... if that was low yield... I’ve got nothing. Lol There was nothing “low yield” about what you gave to us there. Thank you.

Haha! Thanks, Chelsea! I gave Institute my all (you guys deserve it!), but felt less "fruitful" in other areas of my life--just trying to keep the head above water!

Thank you Jared for sharing the idea of "there being danger in letting bad and good branches grow together." Often I get caught up on fixating on the bad branches that I need to pluck out or cut away from the tree, but I forget that repentance is so much more than removing darkness and evil from our lives. It's also replacing and grafting in good works, prayer, scripture study, service and seeing those good branches grow where once bad branches had been. Your stories of the vacancy in the hotel and good grass reminded me of King Lamoni, Lamoni's father, and the anti-nephi-lehites. It wasn't enough for Lamoni to "cast away the dark veil of unbelief from his mind." He also needed for "the light of Christ to light up His mind and infuse his soul with joy." Thank you for sharing. I feel very hopeful from what I learned by the Spirit during this lesson. Thank you!

Thank you for fixing the audio. Jacob 5 has always been a difficult chapter for me to understand. Thank you for your insight into this chapter. For me, this chapter is the struggle I have between good and evil. We must have both so that we can KNOW them for what they are. I have learned that all I can do is my best and hope that it will be enough. Looking forward to your next presentation.

That inner battle between good and evil is the "gravity" we need to "build muscle." Body building when there's no "weight" pressing against us would be difficult, and the same is true spiritually. But even then, it's less about lifting the weight as it is about building the muscles. Who Jesus is helping us become is the real issue!

Wow! There are no words to describe the power and beauty in these messages. I need to watch it a few more times to help me fully grasp it. I loved your descriptive words, feeling like you are hanging on by your fingernails, taking up space in the kingdom. I desire to thrive because I know that is when I feel joy. I know this gospel is true and there is a lot of work to do. To have the opportunity to do this work with the Savior by your side is inspiring. It's time to send forth some of those young and tender branches.

What a beautiful summary--sounds like you're grasping it just fine! :) Putting it all into practice is where I need more practice. Good thing the "growing season" is long in the Lord's vineyard!
