What Could've Been - Avatar The Last Airbender

On the note of the origins of the Avatar and spirit bending, I personally think it would've been interesting if Wan exclusively could spirit bend, which in turn allowed for reincarnation (maybe when paired with Raava or something?). The other elements would be added to the Avatar's bending simply by nature of the next forms being able to bend that element and keeping it into future reincarnations. With no Spirit Nation or alike around, it'd make sense for it to be lost to the annals of time and require someone more spiritually versed, like Aang, to reawaken the style within themself.

I really like your idea! The main thing I wanted to say for that part is that spirit bending should've been better incorporated in the story and that we should've gotten the origin of the Avatar in the original run but making Wan a spirit bender is a great concept
