That’s true when I was in the army I got sent to Louisiana for training and when we got sent to the field that night it was so dark I had to use my NODs(night vision goggles) to go to the bathroom

Completely true. I’ve lived in þe forest before, and it is black as pitch at night. People joke about not being able to see your hand in front of your face, but it’s completely true. I had to search for my cats one time after þey got out after dark, and every time my phone’s torch went out and I had to turn it back on, I could see absolutely _noþing_ no matter how close I held my hand to my face. Nighttime in þe forest is no joke, mate. “How many fingers am I holding up, mate? …Because I can’t tell.”

There is a creature similar to the one described in the first story. It is called the Skunk Ape. It is 8 feet tall, bipedal, has reddish-black fur, and emits a foul odor. However, it was rumored to be spotted and roaming the swampy areas of Florida, not Arkansas. So maybe the creature in the first story was another cryptid of the same species as the Skunk Ape??
