I always took this as, let the dead in Christ, the once who won’t inherit Eternal Life, bury your dead father, while you are being Saved from wrath and being given the gift of grace, leading to Eternal life.

He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! When God told Adam that we would surely die was also known to Eve before she ate of the forbidden fruit. Death means separation. So let the separated bury the separated. Those who, as this pastor states, are dead to Christ aka separated from God. Recap, death in the Bible means separation not annihilation. When you die you are separated from the body and present with the Lord.

I never understood how no one gets this verse. It's always been so simple to me. Even as a child. (I guess I'm blessed. Praise Jesus for giving me wisdom. Hosanna in the highest!) That's why I never really stress myself out over funerals or deaths or death in general. Ppl make such big deals over people's deaths. Especially honoring them every year but they didn't honor them when they were alive. I never saw the point. And those that do are dead themselves. They're just zombies. Walking around with no real point in life. If your point and true North isn't Jesus than idk what to tell you. Let the dead bury the dead. It's so simple. It's really just _THAT_ simple.

Ikr? Jesus is bold when he needs to be. One example is in Matthew 23:15 when Jesus was warning the people of the pharisess, where the KJV Bible says that Jesus said (and I quote), "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him two-fold more the child of hell than yourselves."

If they believed, Jesus could have raised their dead loved one to life, but they did not believe, so they were considered as one of those among the dead. He wasn't being disrespectful or against burial, because even he would be buried, but he wanted to remind them that he is the resurrection.

In some bible versions it is "teach" not "proclaim" the Kingdom of God. In the Gospel of Thomas Jesus says..."Whoever has come to understand the world has found (only) a corpse, and whoever has found a corpse is superior to the world." "It is the solitary and chosen that will find the Kingdom, for you are from it and to it you will return." In Thomas the Kingdom of God is within you; not in this world. It is a separate place. If it is within you then it is not of this tribal world. And you must seek it until you find it.
