I love that you did this video! I’ve come to much of the same conclusions you did, when praying and doing research on the topic. One thing that surprised me, is that the wine now is not the same as the wine then. Now a days they can use pigs blood, sulfates, and other chemicals through fermentation, and of course, it’s not done in clay containers as they did then. I thought that was very interesting. Thanks again for the video, really enjoyed! ❤

My eating schedule is like yours, even a little earlier since I wake up so early. Very interesting details of food life back then. Your talk of honey reminded me of Jonathan eating honey after Saul had unwisely forbidden them to eat AND of John the Baptist eating locusts and honey. As another commenter mentioned, I'm glad we can forgo the locusts! Thank you for sharing! God bless you and your husband.🙏😘

Eat everything as close to the way God created it as possible. My husband and I were discussing this early this morning before going to the barn for chores. The need to be extra alert is great as GMO is onfiltrating everything. Also, mineral deficiency in crops and animals is rampant. Raising truly healthy vegetables and meat is a full time job. Worth every minute. Just because something has an organic lanle.....

I find the best information on what to eat comes from within my own body. Tuning into its subtle messages is how I figure out my diet. It requires that I undue past indoctrinations about food and diet. It requires focus and patience.

I really find this approach so interesting. I have a hard time tuning in to what I need but in the past several months, I have spent more time focusing on what my body is craving. I notice that protein is a big one. I will be craving nuts or burgers and a light bulb will go off "you need protein". Again, very fascinating to me and I am trying to be more aware of what my body is telling me.

And how did they cook it? What tools, what fuels? Do people somewhere still cook in these ancient ways? Would it affect the nutritional value of the food, or the bioavailability of the nutrients? Why did we “move on” from these tools and methods?

This was a wonderful video!! So interesting to hear what they ate. I had some knowledge because I have been studying and reading the Bible for over 8 years. Now I need to implement some changes. Thank you for sharing! Shalom and blessings!

I’ve been reading and listening on what the Bible says on food. One thought just came to me. Many eating plans say no dry fruit but the Bible says yes. But as you say they probably didn’t eat great volumes of food and had a very physical life. So a few dates could give them the energy they need. I’m thinking even for me A date for a treat may be much better than other choices

That’s good information- how interesting. One other thing we should remember, in the beginning God created all things and said it was good! Their culture, and what was native for in their region was their diet , like our native plants are for us. We bless our food and water by prayer and it is clean and nutritious for us as much as it was in that time. 1 Timothy 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.

Thank you. This expresses my feeling on this very well. I think current day Christians following the Old Testament foods are missing part of the point of the New Testament. Not saying it is sinful.

When I read a deciple of Jesus ate locusts in the wilderness, I became so grateful for anything I have to eat because it isn't those. Peace and Blessings 🍂🥧🦃

The locusts arnt the insect, it was a fruit that John the Baptist ate.
@jonathanm54462 ай бұрын
John the Baptist ate locusts. The greek word for that is ἀκρίς "akrís", according to Strongs Greek concordance, refers to the insect. Carob, or the locust plant is a different word I would presume.
