I really appreciate when parents have a strong bond with their kids, I’m still struggling with my folks but we’re both trying hard. After years of trauma and hardships, there’s no bad blood anymore, we’re just all..different. Hugs, sitting at the table, asking about our personal lives, it’s all awkward, but we try. My dad and I just had a small bonfire saying nothing to each other and he tried to break a piece of wood and fell and we both laughed.

A few years ago I made up with my imouto due to texting under the influence and we've been close since then. Man I wish I had the courage to do the same with my parents.
