So Tommy Lee Jones is playing Harvey Dent aka Two Face. Here’s the thing though in the first film Harvey was played by Black actor Billy Dee Williams and Warner bought him out of his contract so he never was able to play the character when he became Two Face. That is until The Lego Batman Movie came out and they had Billy Dee play Two Face.

@@peair2000 Meh. It was only 5 or 6 episodes long and lasted a few months. A heavy blow for sure, but nothing a veteran KZbinr couldn't rectify with time. (That statement could probably apply to a lot of Channel Awesome blunders, now that I think about it)

Something interesting is that this movie came out a few months before Ace Ventura 2. In Ace Ventura 2, Ace is terrified of bats. Wonder if it had anything to do with the Batman movie as a subtle nod to it.

I was gonna make the argument that a few months doesn't seem like enough time, considering how much goes into a movie. But I looked it up, and indeed, Ace Ventura 2 was still filming all throughout June 1995 (when Batman Forever released), and even in July. So yeah, there's a slim chance that it _is_ a reference! Edit: oops, forgot Jim Carrey was also in this; that makes it _much_ more likely.

The reason that the doctor guy was in the credit form the end of the film is because there an entire deleted sequence from the film that lasted around 5 - 7 minutes where we see the doctor enter Two-Face Room in Arkham, and instead see someone being hanged with a threatening letter for Batman on the person, but it was deleted as the studio thought it was too dark. There are many fascinating deleted scenes from this film that just makes me see that Joel did have some idea about Batman, especially seeing how he made other films similar to a Batman toned film, but the studio kept telling him no. Also the whole two-face thing is because the first actor of Two-Face from the first 2 films of this series was done by Billy Dee Williams who famously played Lando from Star Wars, but was replaced for Tommy Lee Jones, which make obvious jokes about the race swap. At least he got to play Two-Face in the Lego Batman Film, and did appear in the Sequel comic that they made for this Batman's Universe, with the original Robin actor being Marlon Wayans

This movie's kinda a guilty pleasure for me. It's bad, sure, but as far as the Schumacher Batman movies go, the lines aren't quite as cringe-inducing, the plot is less bloated, and the villains are enjoyable in their hokey-ness, which I couldn't say for Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, and especially Bane in the follow-up. In a way, this film taking place at Halloween is to its favor. It's corny and impossible to take seriously, but you ignore all that because you know you're still getting a treat out of the experience

I always thought that chase was not a doctor at all but just eye candy for the guy who likes her and every time I watch her I keep getting a tv ad for lady's underwear . Only at Victoria secret and while their lady's underwear is beautiful ,I was getting a candice swanepoel vibe from chase, candice swanepoel is underwear model from south Africa Wikipedia her ,and is in a lot of underwear ad and has her own swimming wear topic c . She join in 2005 I think, and return to Victoria secret for their icon Victoria secret underwear for women. Anyway, the glass batman forever cups are still in some peoples room at home . And there was a comic book adaptation of this movie but just like every single comic book adaptation of all film adaptation ,they cut some scenes from the movie I think that they do it because of the movie runtime but it just feels wrong to me because the artist and writer for the comic book adaptation of the movie are there and have the script right there . And there was a scene in the first batman 89 movie that was a delete scene cut out of the movie it raises too many questions. The guy who is taller than Doug is the last angery geek aka Brian heinz. The scene when nostalgic critic calls him was a reference to the sequel to batman 1989 movie that came out the year I was born 1992 and Danny Elfman did the theme song for the 89 batman movie and Danny de Vito as the penguin who's real name is Oswald cobblepot and they did make up on his hands and made them into human penguin flippers and batman the animated series did like the design of the penguin in that movie that they made the penguin look like Danny de Vito penguin but changed the design for season 4 batman the animated series because in season 4 he owns a night club called the iceberg lounge because penguin lived in ice and snow that or Mr freeze and the cops in gotham and bad guys can't even hit their targets ,they randomly shot anything but their targets like the stormtroopers in star wars. There are some people that can hit their target but the majority of 100 % of gotham can't hit their target it's clear in batman mask of the phantasm that gotham does need batman because if you are firing the gun with batman on a not complete building how do you know weather or not a pizza person was in there unharmed pizza person that walks in. What are they teaching their cops shot at anything that looks like a purple dot like in nick cage movie face off? The voice that you heard was of mayor Adam west of family guy whose is really named Adam west in real life and he was a actor and voice actor and did play batman in 60s and all the crazy things in 60s comics batman and Robin played by burt ward who was 20s when he did 60s batman and if you think that mayor west was lose in the head, he was not and on family guy reference his batman with mayor west wearing his batman suit and painted on eye brows on his cowl and batman hight is the same as Adam west high in the comics 6'2 ,but the films makes batman look a lot taller and bigger on the muscles. In the star cars in Tennessee Gatlinburg there are cars from tv show and movies of the 50s and 90s and today even celebrities like Michael Keaton batman batmobile 89 and the back to the future car and the transforms movie and dolly Parton car actress and singer of the cma County music association. The guy who played the penguin 's dad was Paul Reubens aka pee wee Herman and while his show pee wee Herman 's playhouse was going on Tim burton directed pee wee 's big adventure, yes this movie is real and in 1985 with the woman who voice Tommy pickles from nickelodeon show rugdrats a show about babies and that's it, for girls in the 80s jem and the holograms a animated series about a girl named jem that owns a record studio that her late father had and had a stepsister that she barely remembered she has and thinks that music videos are made in a day when that's not how that works and Kim is her sister that is always getting the shaft from her sister jem but jem learn how not to be that sister but then go's back to being that? Does she have ptsd?and she has a bland boyfriend named Rio that never know that jem the girl he is dating is the boss because she uses hologram to disguise herself with a help of a supercomputer and she also disguise her stepsisters and while they all learn about life lessons it is like giving a kid a lot of mountain dew, it was jem jem. and it got a live action movie that was so bad that it was pulled from theaters in 2weeks, you heard right ,2weeks . The way it looks is bad and the director wants the fans of the show to send their videos in telling her what they like about jem the cartoon and dress up like the cartoon version and put when the credits roll. That is not what they do ,they take the footage from the fans and then edit it to look as though they are talking about the jem from the live action movie , a terribly movie that no body saw and was pulled from theaters after 2weeks and now it looks like they like the movie. This is wrong , this is like telling people what they like about Darth Vader and editing it to look like they are taking about jar jar from star wars the phantom menace, it is like trying to do modern things when they could have done in the past and what really made some fans mad is there was a tv on and a episode of jem and holograms is playing in the background, they left that in. Even if are not a fan of jem and the holograms, i can all this is not great and to have a jem reveal only to delete it was stupid and i agree with the nostalgic critic review on that movie that this movie is a insult to all the fans of the of original show and the show creator and even has cameo in the movie. And it stinks.

This movie is a very very goofy take on Batman like back from the 1960s TV of Batman. Two-Face is supposed to have a tragic backstory of a nice guy struggling to keep is split personality in check but bad stuff happen to him, including half his face got scarred. Now bad side has taken over. Tommy Lee Jones is somehow suppose to be the same character that Billy Dee Williams played in an earlier film long before his downfall to being a villain. If you want to see far more serious takes on Riddler and Two Face, go see The Dark Knight(2008) or The Batman(2022). Robin's original costume is based on his acrobat outfit and he was like preteen when he started as Batman's sidekick. He did lost his parents the same way except it wasn't Two-Face that killed his parents. No, you misunderstanding the ending. The girlfriend does know Batman's identity but she was questioning Riddler at that scene. However he is so insane that sprouting that he's Batman. So Bruce's secret is safe. Demo Reel was a short webseries did when Doug briefly retired the Critic. However his webseries wasn't well recevied and ended up reviving the Critic.

Batman Forever was the first Batman movie I ever saw. It's not as good as Batman 89 and Batman Returns, but it's a lot of fun and is a beautiful tribute to 60s Batman. Definitely watch his Batman 89 review. It's 1 of Doug's favorite movies. And the Batman Returns video in December, it's a Christmas movie.
