It's simply a choice...one CHOOSES to make. Even though I grew up in a household that used very 'colorful' language (German descent, and Dad was a career Navy man...as was I, eventually), I CHOSE to stop using foul language after my kids were born. It was easy, as I didn't want to be the one my kids picked it up from. Now that they're adults, I rarely hear any from them either.

I hope all is well with Collin. I wanted to share my dads story. In 1977 my dad was in accident that severed his arm off just above the elbow. When the first responders came he asked them to bring his arm. At the first hospital they told my dad there was nothing they could do. Two weeks prior my dad read a story about a Dr. Reeder ( I think that is how you spell it) who had developed a technique for limb replantation. At the time he was at Orthopedic Hospital in Los Angeles. My dad asked if they would call and see they would take him, Before he knew it, my mom, my dad and his arm packaged in ice between his legs were in a helicopter off to Los Angeles. Historically, my dad is the 2nd limb replantation patient. At the time, he achieved 35% use of his arm. When I see stories like your sons, it always moves me. My dad is such a resilient man who takes life in stride. They learned a lot of from dads experience. Somewhere in your sons success is a little of my dad. We don't always understand why bad things happen in our lives. One thing is for sure, God can turn anything bad and use it for good! Praying for a quick recovery for Collin!

God Bless you Colin....I had no Idea what you've been through. My best wishes to you, please be strong, you'll be ok. You have folks like me praying for you. My prayers are strong.....my grandfather was a Native American Shaman, Seneca Nation of Indians...He taught me much about spiritual healing. Don't think it's true? There was a time some ten years ago, I awoke from a sound sleep, knowing my best friend Tocho was in trouble. I dressed and set out on a hike trail we often took for pleasure..don't ask me how i knew where he would be....I found him off the hiking trail 40 feet down a rocky embankment with a broken leg. Shortly there after, his brother appeared, I was amazed...I was shocked...Benny, how did you find us.....He simply said..."A Vision I Had".....I stayed with Tocho and comforted him while his brother went for help. We got him Air Lifted to the local hospital.... I kept Tocho company that night..I held his hand and rested my head on his belly all that night. I was sick with grief but at the same time comforted that he was now safe. In the morning, he got out of bed like nothing ever happened. He could put weight on his leg and walked almost like nothing had happened. The doctors were frantic that he was walking about....Took him in for more X rays.....They found the fracture in his femer was healed......I was the only one to be with him that last night...My feelings for Tocho were so intense I must have healed him.....This is not a fairy tale and we are all truly astounded, including the doctors to this day as to the results of the x-rays found the next morning....This incident happened about 10 years ago....Tocho and I have been life partners since this event. There are those that say this is Twilight Zone stuff....Trust me my friend, the power of love for another soul has no bounds...Tocho is my Soul Mate, a realization for both of us that night .... My love for him cannot be expressed in words. Be well my friend, your family and friends love you very much...I wish all you folks God's Blessings

Love Matt's attitude towards the surgery! That's how my mom and I dealt with my transplant and it made everything easier to handle even if she was a nervous wreck she'd make me laugh!

Mat you are a good person and you have done much good in the world. We could see where you were emotionally drained and our hearts go out to you. Know that if you need help just ask. Bless you.

I didn't expect the emotional rollercoaster in this episode. May God bless Kaulin with a quick recovery. What is up with that hill and brakes going out ?

Glad to hear your son is recovering. I have two sons, and neither one has lost a leg. I can't imagine what that is like. Time for you to conduct shop school for your crew. Fittings; that crap Ford type brake light switch looked like 1/8 pipe thread. I don't remember seeing a plug on the wrecker you could have robbed to take its place. The idea that it just needs more brake fluid shows a lack of understanding of how brakes work. Something is broken, not leaky, like an oil pan gasket. Also share with your guys metric and standard inverted flare fittings and proper wrenches to turn them. They seal with the end of the line on the cone, not the threads. People aren't born with the understanding of how stuff works. You have to show them. If you leave them to do trail repairs by learning on the job, there could big troubles one day.

Wishing Colin a speedy recovery. And happy to see him in good spirits through this. Looks like the whole crew needs a training session or two on the heavy wrecker. And those guys were lucky with that crash and barely a scratch. Vehicles can be fixed.

Matt, you need to thank Hefe for avoiding disaster. For him not having the entire knowledge on how to operate the wrecker, he did an awesome job of saving it. Rhett

Wait, you're going to rescue a vehicle that was killed because it ran out of brakes... and then your vehicle runs out of brakes, isn't that a little creepy..😱😱😱

Matt, you're a rock! You have a great many responsibilities that can take a toll on any one person! It's not always peaches and cream, but you try to make it out to be! You and Jenni need a spa day! You both need pampered every now and then! When Collin's finished healing from surgery and physical therapy, take the family on a vacation! Til next time, take care, and we'll see you on the next...

I feel for Colin! I was in a motorcycle accident when I was 17 and almost lost my leg below the knee. Compound fractures of my tibia and fibula and the skin at the impact point was damaged beyond healing. I had a "cross pedicule flap" which means they grafted a large chunk of skin from my left leg to my right leg. They brought medical students in to see me as I was only the third person to have this surgery back in the 70's. I was in the hospital for 2 months. I took multiple operations over 5 years before I could walk on my own 2 feet. They had put a steel rod through my tibia which I had to have removed 40 years later for a knee replacement (probabaly long term damage to the joint?). WIll keep Colin in my prayers for a speedy recovery from his surgeries.

@RatBürgerSk8 Жыл бұрын
What'd be really weird is seeing him in a T shirt. I don't think Matt owns something that's not a collared button up shirt, the man knows what he likes.
@johnhpalmer6098 Жыл бұрын
He has definitely worn something other than his work shirts, every so often, he will wear a Hawaiian shirt or plaid. Used to see that a bit more a couple of years back though.
