This ridiculous and probably unnecessary content was generously sponsored by Sweetwater so please use this link to check out the Guitar Gallery and compare the range of weights you can find in common production guitars: imp.i114863.ne...
I wasn't sure how many guitars I had in my house before filming this, I was honestly afraid to count. Now I know the exact number and the exact weight of all the guitars cluttering up my house. It's a lot, I feel embarrassed I should probably sell some.

Hey Ryan.......&Steve. just wanna say that you always succeed in putting a smile on my face, I’ve been having a rough time this year due to a relationship breaking down and my son being in the middle as you can imagine it can be quite testing, it’s not a pleasurable experience ....anyway I just want to thank you guys really because without you knowing I can come over here and watch your content that’s always fun and positive and has helped take my mind away from things every now and then ....so yeah, sorry if I’ve gone on but wanted you to know that what you guys do is appreciated & helps in ways that you most probably don’t intend when your putting the content together 👍🏼😊

That's a lot of guitars....BUT...That's what you are all about here, my Friend. (...and I do Love Sweetwater's site for comparing the guitars that they have available... at least the ones that are already recorded.) I've got 19 guitars, baritones & basses in total. I believe that one will be put up for sale pretty soon. Most of mine are here for a unique "sound" or style & get used in my Music creation. My two newest ones all almost identical (I bought the "upgraded" version after trying out the first ... and LOVING it! ...to see if the "upgraded" version really meant anything to me in my playing and recording world. I think I will offer up both and give the first serious buyer the option. I'd be fine owning either one!)

Wow! 1) I always wondered, what kind of guitars you'd own beside those in the wall of your studio. Now Is know, that there are even more weird ones in your arsenal. Especially those you finishes yourself look awesome. 2) I adore Sweetwater for sharing the info of weight an detailed pictures of specific guitars. That's really a help, when you compare guitars and you wonder, whether a different style of guitar might suit or if one got an very heavy or light example of a standard model. Thanks for the great Infotainment!

Video idea: you should price out your entire guitar collection next. If your guitars average $325 each then you have over $15k in guitars hanging around. Sweetwater should sponsor your vid in exchange for you using their gear exchange to sell half of your guitars for Sweetwater credit. If/when they all sell you would then owe us all a big livestream event where we get to celebrate with you by watching you sweat and stress while picking out the perfect Fender Custom Shop to buy using your Sweetwater website credits.

@@60CycleHumcast Sick! Sell as many as you need to in order to get yourself a Custom Shop Jag, Jazzmaster, or Strat. Maybe sell a little more and get yourself a blonde Super Sonic Head and Cabinet too!? You've worked hard to get this channel to where it is - it would be fun to watch you treat yourself! If most of us are honest, we've probably been playing long enough and have enough gear lying around that we could fetch ourselves some fun rigs if we started consolidating... So, your heaviest guitar is 9.7 lbs, and your lightest is 2.9 lbs. Your average weight is ~7.3 lbs, and your most common weight, with 5 guitars, is 8.2 lbs. Also it looks like you added something twice, because I'm getting a total weight of 341.2 lbs, and I checked my spreadsheet against what you had twice.

If you're playing from 3 to 4 hours a night by practicing or doing gigs the size, balance and weight of a guitar can be a factor. Over the past 3 years I've bought 5 guitars and only kept 3 due to the weight. I don't feel comfortable playing one that weighs more than 7 pounds. I've a 72 Telecaster Thin Line that weighs a little over 4 pounds, a Sterling by Music Man Albert Lee HH model that weighs 6 pounds and an Epiphone ES 339 that weighs 8 1/2 pounds. I like them all, but I may have to sell the ES 339. It's was advertised to be like an ES 335 just smaller and lighter than an ES 335. The size was smaller, but it weighs the same as an ES 335, 8 1/2 pounds according to the measurement at Sweetwater and my scale. The profile of the neck and the radius of the fretboard are a factor as well. Then the pickups, tuning machines and bridge.

The American recipes I see often provide measurements in cups. It can be tricky to fit ingredients like butter into a cup, so it's lucky there's a handy weight conversion. You have 700 cups' worth there. And since cups are really volumetric, that's 43 US gallons. Average guitar volume is therefore just under a gallon. Or 11, depending on how you look at it.

I got surprisingly close with my mental estimate of the weight before you finished adding them. I figured you had about 50 guitars and they probably average about 7lbs, maybe 8lbs, each, so the total should be about 50*7 = 350lbs, maybe 50*8 = 400lbs. Also, I don't think 50 guitars is a lot for someone who makes guitar videos (or does anything guitar-related) for a living. For someone like me who only plays guitar at home as a hobby that's probably a lot (I have 5 and sometimes feel that is too many), but I feel having a lot of guitars is almost a part of the job description for someone who reviews and/or plays them for a living.
