I think people who buy into the loaded stereotype that Americans are not the brightest on some level must be delusional and harbouring deep seated inferiority complexes 🤣... as they sit watching this video on a YT (Karim/Hurley/Chen) platform tapping away on their Apple (Jobs)/ Android (Rubin) / Microsoft (Gates) devices, immunised against the major childhood killer diseases (Hilleman), as they contemplate tossing their clothes into what is considered one of the most labour saving devices of all time - (Fisher) planning their next long haul getaway, by car (Ford), by plane (Fansler/Janus)... So many bloody amazing inventions were borne out of American industry. It’s not evidence of a people who are uncultured, uneducated or dim witted quite the contrary...

@@MoreOnPleeez There’s a misunderstanding here, us saying that you’re not Americans doesn’t mean what you think it means. Due to the thousands of years of fighting for and disputing over territory, many Europeans think along the lines of “just because the borders got redrawn again doesn’t mean our ancestors suddenly became a different nationality” - when an European person says that you aren’t Americans, they are simply applying their own thought process to your situation. Only difference with your situation is that there wasn’t a map to redraw the borders on yet, when we say you aren’t Americans we draw the distinction between your culture and the USA’s who forcefully assimilated your people. Many view you people in a much more positive light than they do the “USA people”. Anyways, before the Americas got named after Amerigo Vespucci, what did you call the place?

What people don't understand is that it is the same inside of European countries. Take France for instance. Go to Brittany and you'll find people talking celtic, go to the Nord and you'll find people talking chti, go to Corsica and you'll find people talking corsican... Even for the people who do not talk a distinct dialect, there are a lot of words and expression that people would use in certain areas and not others (Biloute in the Nord, Cagniard in the South, Chocolatine in the most barbarian parts of France, etc.). People will have different accents, regions have different stereotype associated to them (people in the Nord are incestuous, people in the West always get wasted, people in Corsica are always terrorist, etc...), sometimes even words/insult linked to a particular region of France ("plouc", for instance), eat different foods and drink different things (people typically drink cider in Normandy, pastis near Marseille, wine in Burgundy, bear in the Nord, and everything they'll find in Britanny - they don't care as long as they're getting wasted). The culture are different ; people in Paris are always in a hurry, in the South they're always smiling, etc... And people don't do the same amount of bises in different regions. Another significant difference. And that's the same thing inside of Spain, Italy, Great Britain or Germany. Not even talking about the tensions between French-speaking belgians, and Dutch-speaking belgians, too. The actual difference between european countries is usually much, much bigger than these regional differences that you find both inside European countries and inside the USA.

Just so you know your comment makes you sound ignorant. US was colonized by England, which is why people are interested in England. The there was the potato famine which introduced a lot or Irish into US. Then with ww2 and all the refuges you have Germans coming to USA. Also you have pockets that claim heritage from Spain, Italy, Nederlands and France. Thus why Americans are interested in certain countries. It has to do with their genealogy.

In Europe people pay a about €300 annually for deductible and between 90 -150 for insurance premium. This way everyone can get treated no matter what the cost for the individual. So if you're a wanderer or tramp, and you need help from a doctor, you will always be helped. Medicine is also very cheap this way compared to the USA. Education level, while some European countries are a bit behind is very high compared to the USA, which numerous news programs already said it's almost at 3th world level for impoverished cities. This is why US citizens have a different annual income compared with Europe. And yet most are still poor, not being able to survive when 1 month of income is missed. Europe has a very different way of distribution of wealth among the people. Much goes up in taxes. The Netherlands has one of the best roads and pedestrian streets together with Scandinavia. A biker is a lot safer than in the USA. It's not necessary to wear a helmet under normal circumstances. You don't get to pay many ten thousand of dollars out of your own pocket for health care. The Gross National Income of the Netherlands is one of the highest in Europe, together with the Scandinavian countries.

People are free to vote for whomever they want at any point in their life. The United States Electoral College was established by the United States Constitution for the election of the president and vice president of the United States by small groups of appointed representatives, electors, from each state and the District of Columbia. Those appointed representatives vote in accordance with the popular vote of their constituents.

@@randomdude4669I mean I’ve never done that so I don’t know what you’re talking about. I always assumed regional accents work the same way in other countries as they do in mine, it would be absurd to assume that every Chinese person has the same accent lol. I just don’t speak Cantonese or Mandarin so I can’t pick out the differences, but that doesn’t mean that I assume there aren’t any differences.

when i was in high school i took a ap european history class and we had an assistant teacher from the uk. he decided that one day we’d switch accents, meaning we’d do an english accent and he’d do an american one. literally when class started this man closed the door, turned around all dramatic and said “howdy ya’ll” in the funniest american accent i’ve heard, like people really think american’s either talk like cowboys or valley girls lmao
