One thing that always fascinates me is that almost all the foreigners that I see interviewed on similar channels seem to return to visit. Even the ones who criticize Korea seem to return.

This youtuber mainly films in the metropolitan area, where only a small number of foreigners work as language instructors, models, or in office jobs or just international students. However, there are far more foreign workers in the provinces. Manufacturing and shipbuilding industries in regional areas require a lot of labor.

Obviously that is not the aim of his channel and audience. If you are a foreign shipbuilder, you are probably contracted out in your own nation. The foreign people that watch this channel are on the younger side looking to move into Seoul looking for work.
@HAGR-x7xАй бұрын
@@jimhim585 I am Korean and the vast majority of foreigners living in the country are Asian immigrants from countries such as China, Vietnam, and Thailand. The foreigners from the nationalities mentioned in the video don't even make it into the TOP 10 in terms of population size, and they are a minority. I’m not sure if communication issues due to language barriers made it difficult to interview others, but I don’t think the foreigners shown in the video are representative of the foreign population living in Korea.

Most foriegners in Korea are English teachers except for migrant factory and farm workers. Only a few are in other fields. English teacher is the easiest way to come to Korea. But nowadays the pay is pretty bad. China is where the money is.
@TcGroenestege29 күн бұрын
I heard in Japan english teacher is also poorly paid, is it better in china for that?
@sho863128 күн бұрын
@@TcGroenestege yes. You are right. Pay in Japan is even worse. You pay your own rent and flight sometimes. Pay in Japan to compensate for thesethings should be 350,000 Yen at least. Pay in China is the best without requiring advanced degrees. Otherwise, Middle East and other places would be the place to be for money. But I would advise any South African moving to China to keep their bank open in SA and switch to internet banking on computer. Use family members address. Then wire money home rach month. Lots of savings in China. Go home in the future with all those savings and start a business. The electricity problems there seem to be fixed. Korea and Japan you will save very little.
