Hope to see you guys develop front splitter kit for s2000 that will product a GOOD amount of front downforce

What were you looking for? We have a pretty extensive VB catalog at this point.
@KH-wp3lj3 ай бұрын
Would you recommend getting a splitter first, or a rear diffuser? Or would that decision be car dependent?
@VerusEngineering3 ай бұрын
Generally a rear diffuser. A rear diffuser rarely will upset the aero balance while a front splitter will shift aero balance quite substantially.

The Supra has a lot of wasted rear space taken by the exhaust muffler and bumper that could be used for a very substantial rear diffuser. If a customer pulls up with like a race exhaust so that space is empty, would you be interested in developing a new rear diffuser? It would ofc involve cutting away the bumper with the “cosmetic diffuser”, but I think it would have huge potential
@VerusEngineering3 ай бұрын
We actually already offer a rear diffuser for the Mk5 Supra. It works quite well. However, we do not have any plans to offer a different unit. Our rear diffuser works with a lot of different exhaust options too.
@WhiteComet_CA2 ай бұрын
@@VerusEngineeringwish yall offered rear diffusers that worked with single exit exhaust options like SP1R and RK Ti. I know lots of Supra owners who want to buy the rear diffuser but are limited by their exhaust setup

I never really thought about it before, but how do front splitters and air dams affect cooling, if at all?
@VerusEngineering3 ай бұрын
Front splitters do not affect cooling much, if at all. In some cases, like the G87 M2, there is an oil cooler on the bottom side of the car, so we had to design a scoop in the splitter so that the cooler can still get fed clean airflow.

Is there any company interest in supporting some of the Cadillac Blackwing models? Specifically a front splitter for the CT4-V Blackwing which is really hurting for some more front end grip.

@@VerusEngineering Understood. I do have access to a 3D scanner if sending a mesh would help.

Is the dimpled tunnels to better deal with any tire wake on the windward side of the the floor during yaw? All cars are weak aerodynamically on the side facing the corner since the car is essentially running over it's own tire wake.
@VerusEngineering3 ай бұрын
The bumps essentially help the flow stay attached. We were working with minimal space, so the tunnels were smaller than we would have liked. This was just a design we found that helped increase the performance of the tunnels without making them any larger.
@rolandotillit28673 ай бұрын
@@VerusEngineering Sorry for the endless questions, how do you feel about all these new sports cars with underbody strakes, such as the Cayman GT4, M2, GT3 RS, etc? Do you think they'd work better if they had a tunnel in the chassis to fully exploit it? Kind of like the Voltex kit on the Evasive Motorsports time attack S2000.

How imbalanced would a high DF splitter on the supra with the UCW bottom wing or UCW swan neck be?
