I also prepared this setup for my w210 but with CLK 209 caliper with 345 rotors. Is direct bolt also on 210,208 and 202, but take into account that you can not fit your rims back without a spacer. I have 18 monoblocks and it doesn’t clear the caliper. I bought 10 mm spacers for the rims and now is perfect

There are 210 e430 rotors that have the same offset with w202, but they are 316 mm rotors, not 320
@ANDERZENAMG Жыл бұрын
@@StefanTitu the 17’s actually fit but the 18’s require 5mm spacer oddly enough. Luckily I’ll be running 10mm spacers anyway lol

95-97 C36 comes with two brake spec.:- A) Iron calipers with Rotors (320mm), Rotors, same Rotors dia. with "W124 E500" & "R129 SL600" B) Alloy calipers that uses (316mm), same Rotors dia. with "W208 CLK430" & "W210 E420/E430"

For A) Same dimensions but different offsets unfortunately The 95’s also had a 284mm option
@danf1899 Жыл бұрын
@@ANDERZENAMG that's easy to determine. What's the total thickness of the rotor you took off the car including the top hat. The SL600 is 50.5mm.
@ANDERZENAMG Жыл бұрын
@@danf1899 I measured it in this video, yes those are 50.5mm mine are 44.5mm
@danf1899 Жыл бұрын
@@ANDERZENAMG ahh missed that number in the vid. I wouldn't muck around with spacers behind a rotor. Set screw is irrelevant. The wheel & lugs/bolts holt the rotor to the hub. Plenty of cars have floating rotors. If you can get C55 brakes to work, go for it. Down the road you won't have issues with this. Save the old c36 calipers/rotors just for posterity. Good luck.

Run the set up you have for free. Your not going to toss out your OEM stuff so you always have the option to figure it out at a later date and put them back on the next brake change

Front brake calipers and discs from mercedes w210 E 430 on some models are equipped with quad brake calipers and are compatible with those from w202 C36 AMG if the outer diameter of your disc is 316 mm and the thickness is 28 mm
@ANDERZENAMG Жыл бұрын
Yea these unfortunately are the rare 320mm rotors with a unique caliper

I also have a 1996 w202 C200 KOMPRESSOR (modified) and fitted it with brake calipers and dual perforated discs from a W210 E430, 316mm which are a perfect match and it worked out perfectly.
@PlamenZlatanov-d1b Жыл бұрын
I think if you make a second hole for your C55 brake discs to match the C36 hub hole it will be perfect, if the brake disc doesn't rest too much in its guard behind it, only the disc will have two holes for which it will hardly be a problem, because the brake kit from the C55 will be perfect for the C36 :)

I've installed different brakes according to the dimensions from the brake parts of any car, with or without adapters, without problems. brakes are not a problem. w203 big brakes are good so if you have them use them

back again. awesome video. im seeing if w211 e500 4 piston 330mm brakes fit on 1995 C36. rotors are low cost and very available.

Use the passenger side rotor to see if the retaining screw hole lines up for test fitting purposes.
@ANDERZENAMG Жыл бұрын
Same part number, good thought though 🤙🏼
@joe_pelensky Жыл бұрын
Don't worry about the retaining screw IMHO just making more work for yourself and really not necessary. Throw those Drilled and slotted rotors on with the new Calipers and you should be good to go. Its a good set-up and it seems like you're also saving a little bit of weight/rotating mass. Either way, good stuff. Keep up the good work brotha

Also, this is just my OCD kicking in and i could be wrong, but it appears your headlights (or marker lights) are just the slightest bit off and not lined up correctly? Could just be the angle but I've noticed it in the last two videos lol

Yes, you are wrong, retaining bolt ist must

Nice video! Did the w203 C55 calipers and rotors fit? I believe C55 rotors are 345mm and i heard there is some adjustment needed.

Yes they did, took some maneuvers but they did and yes 345mm

Hi Anderzen - love the channel - I also have the 320 mm rotational disks but Mercedes have them in Germany so I’ve orderd but they don’t have the rear disks which are also ventilated - what have you done with your rear disks ? Can you still get them or are they now obsolete - many thanks Dave ps love the c36 in black
