What makes marriage non-beneficial to men is the divorce laws that women take full advantage of that allows them to discontinue the benefits that men once got from marriage, while at the same time forcing the man to provide the benefits that women receive from marriage. Let me carefully explain. Before marriage when they are dating, a woman will give a man all the sex, home cooked meals, compliance & peace that he desires. But once they get married, she stops these things, effectively ending the benefits that a man traditionally received from his wife. Now, because of the divorce laws, he can’t just simply divorce her & find himself another woman. The laws are set up where a woman will automatically receive the majority of the assets that they have between them. It can even be a situation where she committed adultery while he was totally faithful, but will still be awarded the majority of the assets. The laws basically creates a situation that potentially entraps men while giving the woman no incentive to put forth the effort to please her man & keep him happy.
