Ok, I'm late to the pary, but... I have learned more in the last week than I could have imagined. I love the insouciance with which Gregor mentions the 'ladder of notes' at 5:37 :) Suddenly I find a great way to make arpeggios without have a separate plugin. The deeper I go into S1 the more satisfying and, quite frankly, exciting it is. Kudos.

Hey Gregor, I have an idea for S1. What about a library of curves you can drag n drop from the browser into an automation lane to then edit as you please? Would be great for workflow. You could easily create sidechain effects, variate LFOs throughout the whole song, add a smooth 80s style fadeout on the master-bus etc.. You could upload and share or download curves from other Users to add to your library.. What d'ya think?

This is a video that should have been made from day 1 when studio one was released. The chain one has haunted me forever and caused more problems than anything because the chain will prevent you from doing a lot of stuff to the event. Eventually after cursing at presonus nonstop I figured out that if you bounce the track, it gets rid of the chain and gives you back control of the event. There is barely any info in the manual about event icons.

..Also...If you do practice "vocal thickening" by copying a single vocal track to a folder. and create 6, or 8 tracks, and then apply time stretch and/or tuning-you will get that little "gear" or "snowflake". Simply use the Command B on a Mac (don't know what it would be for PC)

Another mystery symbol that isn't talked about (8:04) is plainly displayed but not talked about directly. The PacMan Ghost symbol on the midi track labeled Mai Tai. I have this symbol on a track right now in a session, and the midi seems to be uneditable, and can not be moved around. Can you talk about what that symbol means?
@monosbeats73983 жыл бұрын
That audio parts could be edited in the edit view was new to me. Now i will use them alot more. 🥳 Tip for video: since that feature is only for the audio edit view. You could do a video about all the special functions of the edit view if there are more secrets like this.

I don't see a solution about how to get rid of the chain link icon without bouncing to another track, which also bakes in any FX you might have on that track if you don't think to turn them off before bouncing. Is there another easier way to get rid of it? Figured that would've been addressed in this video!

Thanks Gregor, I think Shift+D (Duplicate Shared) hot keys do not works on my events:) I have "Studio One Professional 5.1.2.62686"on macOs Mojave 10.14.6 When I use hot key combination (Shift D) for "Duplicate Shared" 1. Symbol do not change 2. do not sync with original event 3. hot keys: "D" Duplicate and "Shift+D" does it the same command. Just duplicate selected events like "D" I hope that we can find the answer. Thanks for this info. There's one icon that isn't covered here. It looks like a quarter note with three rectangles next to it. It's on several events in the bundled "dance/techno" template. I've been trying to understand that template, and this is one question no one has an answer to. Does anyone here know? I'm using Artist v4.6.2, in case version matters.

Thanks for bringing this up! That’s the chord follow icon, meaning that these notes are being currently being transposed by the Chord Track. -GBY

@@presonus Thanks! I think that the chord follow feature doesn't exist in Artist, but the template still shows the icon. I ended up deleting and recreating those events to get rid of it. The snowflake appears when I change tempo. Also a CONSISTENT PROBLEM is when the snowflake appears because of tempo change, when I record guitars using 2 tracks at the same time, for some reason some times these 2 tracks lose their synchronization. Many times I record 2 tracks with one take for left and 2 tracks for right side. Also can you show us if there is a way to record in a lower sample rate to save space in ssd and export in higher sample rate for less aliasing??????

cant afford sphere, so asking here, I've been asking presonus upgrades since version 3 to give us a method of looking at, listing,a and selecting presets for external midi synthsizers. there is no method that i can see. my loss is many thousands of sounds and 16 rackmount synths which i would LIKE to be able to use again, but are sadly out of reach in studio one five. this does not seem to be important to presonus, fair enough, but represents a teriffic ability and financial loss to my studio. can you please please help.
