So, in a nutshell, it's similar to the numbering system for comic books. It started off with a well intended, simple idea that got out of control very quickly. Now, it's a big mess with exception after exception that can't be fixed.

Omg so many. New collectors please just select a character or a movie. It's more fun, I see so many collections up for sale because people get bored as the lists are endless. So if you want to collect pops keep it simple. It really is more manageable and fun.

If the numbers also corelate to the sculpt of the figure then why is phantom foxy (205) not the same number as foxy? they have the same sculpt just different colours

For instance if you buy a star wars figure and it has the number 23 on the box it means that it is the 23rd starwars figure in the star wars line they have made. Electrocuted Darth Vader has the number 288 which means that it is the 288 star wars pop figure they designed. Lightning palpatine has the number 289 which means that it was the star wars figure they designed after they designed the electrocuted Darth Vader.

I do have a question: In my Wonder Woman movie POP collection, Wonder Woman is number 172, I also have numbers 173, 174, then it suddenly jumps up for Ares, which is number 197, then, the Wonder Woman with cloak is number 229, is there a reason why the numbers jump up like that so suddenly? This Wonder Woman movie collection has close to 20 figures in its line, the numbers are almost all inconsistent.

This is most likely because they decided to create the other figures later on. Some other marvel figures are made in between the first Wonder Woman ones and they just give the figures the next number

What about same numbers in the same series? Idk if it is a thing in other series, but Star Wars line has got couple POPs with the same number. For example #90 is either Luke Skywalker ceremony or TIE Fighter Pilot red stripe; #248 is either Han Solo with goggles or Mudtrooper and what is funny there is no #249, at least at the time I am writing this comment.

So it is the number of a mold and each line has its own set of numbers.

Only thing I would say was wrong was the "all your pops will fail under this number range" statement. It was stated about the Brady bunch, unless I heard wrong. Not all pops from a certain series will fall under the same number range. It will all depend on the series run. For instance DBZ has multiple series in the animation line. Some as low as 14 I believe to as high as 715. Obviously there isn't 700 dbz pops.........yet. I would like to see a video explaining the #'s on the bottom pig the box. Tho it seems as tho funko has changed how they stamp them.

surprises me people don't know this. it was pretty self explanatory for me lol. if people don't know this then they really don't know what the numbers on the bottom of the box is. first number is year, second number is month, 3rd is day was made. number also matches the pop which is also on the pop. there's your follow up vid to this one lol.
