Just back from Slovenia, just subscribed to your brilliant channel! Am I allowed to say "flawless" from a visitor point of view? I create wildlife gardens and larger habitat in the UK (we're desperately in need of it here) and to see the stunning scenery, the mountains and the beautiful meadows really was breathtaking - without exaggeration. I promise this isn't a plug for my own channel but I've uploaded a few shorts of my experience and a longer video and there will be many more to come, they'll explain more than I can here. Again, I have to say flawless and I know that's from a tourist point of view but I absolutely positively did NOT want to leave your beautiful country. Everyone was so welcoming, and I mean everyone. For me, and the job I do, this is the closest to heaven I'll get. Very best wishes to you and yours. Joel

Never been to Slovenia, but now I absolutely need to visit, the cleanliness of the Country alone got me wanting to visit , also I love castles , so a must see place , this country is top #1 on my travel list .
@zdem82595 ай бұрын
If you are looking for castles - this is the place. I have a book "900 castles of Slovenia"... And one with 100 castles... ye, I like castles, too and here you can find as many as you wish.. Not all are in good condition, some were abandoned centuries ago, some were damaged and robbed in WW2 and we don't have so much money to renovate and sustain them all, but at least 100+ are standing proud and whole for a milenia, I think it's good enogh for a grand tour... so, welcome...

I lived in Juneau, Alaska, for five years. The tap water came right off the mountains in town. Best water in America. So I can appreciate what you're saying about good Slovenian tap water. Makes me want to go there and try it. Also, thanks for the sarcasm about American sidewalks. We and our dumb car culture suck at sidewalks!

I love Ljubljana and Slovenia. My grandfather left during the war and immigrated to Australia. It wasn't until after his death that we reconnected with relatives there that have become some of my closest family. I've been more times than I can count and even studied Slovenian language in Ljubljana for 3 months. Love your content ❤

I've been to Slovenia three times and all I can say is that the Slovenians are excellent hosts. Yes, their tap water beats any bottled water in the US. The food, countryside and sights are phenomenal. I've been to all the major cities and seaports: Piran and Koper. Went white water rafting on the Soča river and zip lines in Bovec . Their wine is excellent too. Can't say enough good about that country.

Been to Slovenia twice. Stayed in Ljubljana both times spent a lot of time just wandering about up to the castle etc. Or sitting and people watching. I did get out to Lake Bled, Postojna cave, Predjama Castle and a couple of other places. Friendly people, great food some great beers (check out the Human Fish, Reservoir Dogs or Pelicon). I will be going back at some point. I was also introduced to the band Koala Voice been following the ever since. Great country! You should definitely go. Or not - too many tourists will spoil it 😂. Just kidding - go. I learnt some Slovenian before I went, mainly potato related phrases😉- which I subsequently butchered although people were very forgiving. I came back with more potatos than I went with so, you know, I can't have been that bad at it.

Ljubljana, in fact Slovenia as a whole, is really worth a visit. Beautiful nature, beautiful towns and villages, mountains, sea, lakes, karst caves and more and more. Unfortunately, the capital and many tourist-interesting cities, like elsewhere in the world, are more and more besieged by tourists, so that the locals are increasingly moving out, or to the countryside or to some smaller town.

Sometimes I found confusing the fact that the recycling bins don't have an image representation of the thing you're supposed to put in there. Just text in Slovenian, which as we all know, is perfectly comprehensible to everybody all over the world. However, that little thing aside, everything was just picturesque and awesome in every way. :)

I visited Slovenia in 2009. I took my family, my mother and in-laws last year. This year went again with my family and will be going again next week to look at property :) In all the videos and articles you read, everyone mentions Lake Bled, Ljubljana and Lake Bohinj, and they are amazing!! But in my opinion, one of the most impressive things I have seen is the Postojna Caves. It's so impressive! Hopefully soon will be able to call Slovenia my 2nd HOME

I have to say that I agree with everything this guy said, but I feel he fell a little short on this video. Of course, there is so much to say about this lovely small country that a single video will probably not be enough. Just to mention some places, walking in Tivoli Park in Ljubljana, Bohinj (with what I think is the oldest church in Slovenija), Škofja Loka (where I felt I was inside a medieval city), Koper, Izola, Piran and Portorož (If you like the sea), down visiting the Postojna Caves, or you can go higher to Triglav... so many places. And the people, really wonderful. Coming from a latin country where we are almost everyone descendants of Spanish or Italian ancestors, I felt really comfortable being there, and I even got to make many friends (it was not easy at the beginning, they all seemed so closed.... but after you get to know them and vice-versa, they are really kind people, and as said in the video, everything is clean and nice. I miss visiting the country, so I should get there again with my family. I always said that if I had to leave my country, I would like to raise my children there. And for anyone visiting different parts of Europe, don't be tempted to just visit the bigger old classics, and give this small country a try, you will not regret it, promise.

Finland's Tap water is the best, known of purity/cleariness as well as the Air quality and the clensiness in the cities. Slovenia is in the middle Europe exposing to pollution from the air coming from neighboring countries Industries - Finland does not have that problem being more isolated area of North Europe.

First thing I did in 2002 when I arrived late at night in Riga, Latvia was drink the tap water. It was nasty, but I had little choice due to the circumstances. Yeah, Slovenia is on the opposite end of the scale. One thing I take issue with is this 'beating the drum' for Slovenia. If enough people go there, it will be ruined. So please send people to Croatia instead. I'm planning to live the end of my life in Slovenia and I would like it to stay nice.

Still, in the suburbs people are super into dividing their trash.
