She needs an SS card, birth certificate, and an ID. All you're doing is putting a bandaid on a cancer.

He wasn’t even implying that what he did for this woman would solve her problems. She was hungry so he bought her a few days worth of food. She had no place to live or sleep so he bought her a tent. Then he gave her the name and information of an organization that would help her get her life together. This was not “putting a band aide on a cancer” (why you put it that way?). It was simply an act of kindness that hopefully helped that woman see that she still matters . She’s a drug addict. Having an ID, birth certificate, etc. does absolutely nothing to help her decide that she wants to stop doing drugs, but being shown that her life has value and that she matters could be all she needs to help her make that decision. No matter what “help” an addict receives, all of it is like “putting a band-aide on a bullet wound” if the addict hasn’t decided that they want to be sober first. 20 years of being an addict and 24 years of sobriety since, taught me that btw
