I LOVE the “I’m a good enough coach to say just do it like that” comment. How many golfers have had to go through swing overhauls because a coach felt like they had to change something in order to justify their fee? Class act.

Far too many. My coach told me a very long time ago that he didn't want to see me for a lesson unless something went really bad. He wanted me to go out and put the changes into action and "learn to golf" with it. I don't think Ive paid for a lesson since even though we've had some. Its not about the money for him. He taught me and I went out and taught others. He's a grow the game guy.

I grew up in Columbia, Missouri and got to know Stan a little. He has always had a simple manner of speaking with no wasted words, to go along with a simple golf swing with no wasted movement. He could get up and down from anywhere. I've never seen a better short game.

I was paired with Stan in a few Nationwide events back in the day. The man has forgotten more about the short game than most people know. If you could label someone an expert in an area of golf he is surely one. It is quite a shame that he's been stricken with Parkinson's because he'd still be very competitive to this day.

Read an article that said when he grabs a club his hands stop shaking. Recently shot a 69 at some charity event. I payed attention to it in the video and sure enough his hands quit shaking when he puts them both on the club. It would be an absolute honor to get a lesson from this legend one day.

I've been trying to learn golf for over 30 years. I feel in the early days (before all the videos and trackers) the emphasis was on building up torque between the lower and upper parts of the body and then releasing the clubhead pass the body. Now the emphasis seems to be on rotating through the ball with the club delofted. This lesson seemed to.major on the release of the clubhead.

I gotta try the Lamkin corded grip. I’ve been using the Golf Pride Tour Velvet Corded for ever. If I’ve ever switched to just try something else, that new grip usually gets cut off after one round and I always go back. The one attribute I wish the Tour Velvet Corded had would be a slightly more grabby feel. Yes, even more than they have already. If the Lamkin offers that, I’m def going to give them a try. No doubt. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

Hey Grant. I'd love to see a two camera and tracer with this lesson. As a viewer, I'd like to see the results, not just the contact. The tracer would show your change from high ball flight to low after the lesson and your results once you hit the green (spin/stop, etc.). I loved the lesson overall, but felt like it lacked the payoff by seeing the results. Cheers!

Interesting note he caught, I have occasionally seen your swing finish that looks like your finishing tilted back as well. fixing this finishing more over the ball and through impact should help you control trajectory some more. The main difference I see in Grant's swing now is he is coming more steep on the ball. That is a great way to control your face angle and to hit effective shot shapes. Problem before was I felt he was dropping it inside which prompted a flick of a wrist or a block. If Grant gets to the point where he only has a one way miss, he can contend in many pro tournaments. Of course, putting needs a bit of improvement asw lol. Keep it up Grant!
